Doesn't seem to be much intel coming out even about which players are in this week's camp.
Only info I have in regards to players is the hurricanes I posted earlier in the thread and I found out last night there are apparently 4 Highlanders at camp(didn’t get names). Nothing groundbreaking but hoping to find out more tonight or tomorrow night. Source is pretty close to the situation and he’s been correct about everything he’s told me so far.

@Landers92 4 highlanders? Fakatava, De Groot...then anyone else would be a surprise surely, JRK and TT have had good seasons but lots of traffic ahead of them

Yeah we were speculating and came to the JRK conclusion too. Dunshea was a name thrown in with the locking issues and with Razor and Jason Ryan’s familiarity with him.
Quite possible a few of the players attending will be in the AB XV and just outside of the test picture at the moment.

any of our young guys that might be there just for some experience?

I really don’t know if any of the Highlanders young guys would even be considered to even be at the level yet. Millar possibly just for a look? I wouldn’t think so though.

@Chris-B not sure if Devlin can be trusted in any way, his contact is himself most likely
says the man that never names a source
I could live with that if he/she was actually right more times than just the odds of flipping a coin.

@Frank No some big names may crumble
Can you be even more vague?
It's possible that some notable contenders might not perform as expected.
It's possible that some well-regarded participants might face unexpected challenges.

I should have referenced the article but this is coming from the Press I think so obviously someone like Strange is in the picture from a Cantebury lense.
The article was written by Paul Cully, and is in all Stuff newspapers.

Rumour I did here yesterday is that Papalil may play 6 ,with Ardie at 7, with Hoskins 8 only rumours tho just putting it out there ,
playing two out of three players out of position? Sounds crazy
is ardie out of position? isn't he playing 7 in japan? (could be wrong), and obviously has that history at 7
Mostly 7 in Japan.

who the fuck is Jamie Wall? because apparently Ethan Blackadder can cover lock as well

surprised he can't coach the side and play 10 at the same time

An absolute clown on twitter who calls himself a ‘journalist’. Journalist is a very loose term these days it seems.

He's a journo that covers league and rugby. He's not bad but his lack of knowledge can be annoying (I.e. not knowing the HIA protocol etc). He tends to troll on twitter and made a series of tongue in cheek team previews to start the season that some fans got upset about.

Blackadder shouldn't even be considered until he proves he can play a couple of months of rugby without being injured. There's so many good loosies around.
If Cane is selected off of a back injury it's even more risky to include Blackadder
It's another good bias test really, he's never done anything in Black that demands his selection on the back of being injured most of the season, and career wise he's been so injury prone it's not even funny. If he makes it, it is purely because of how close he is to Razor, no chance a player from another franchise would be selected on the same criteria (e.g. potential at test level despite long term injuries).
