    @Crazy-Horse

He kept growing and is probably more suited to 12 now. He’s gone well in the last couple of games at 10 though

Good under the high ball now too. A very handy utility if that’s what the selectors want/need

A Havili-style selection but more solid, reliable and able to run a backline. It's interesting that a number of Blues players look better this year under Cotter

I see O'Halloran is back with the Blues now. I wonder if his influence has grown too as Blues last few games have been far less clunky in the backs.

One area Plummer has traditionally struggled with is his punting distance but he was hitting them very nicely last night.

Josh Lord has been forgotten already by the Hurricanes-centric TSF selectors.

One thing we'll find out is how much say Ryan had in forward selections last year if there is a big change in players.

@Bovidae It would be nice for Josh Lord to be fit and to string two or three games together.

McWhannell and Walker-Leawere have played much better this season so far than Josh Lord so get the nod ahead of him.

All that could change if Josh Lord can find fitness and form.

England will be a tough prospect. Much, much improved team. Don't expect 0-2 though.

If Robertson picks a whole heap of overrated Crusaders i.e Grace instead of Lakai and Iose he deserves all he gets. We won’t be winning much that’s for sure.

If Razor and Jason Ryan only pick Crusaders in the forward pack, I'm supporting England. 😉

Regarding Razor's selections, obviously none of us know what he is going to do. I suspect he is smarter than just picking journeyman Crusaders because he knows them, but time will tell.

I am wondering what he is going to do with the likes of Rieko, Ardie and BB. Does he think 13 is the best use of Rieko's talents, is 8 the best place for Ardie, and will he contniue with the two playmaker system at 10 and 15 (ie DM and BB)? These were very much a hallmark of the selection policies of the previous regimes and there is no guarantee that Razor is thinking along the same lines.

Razor is pretty ruthless and non-sentimental based on past selections.
He's about HIS legacy, not giving the Saders players a leg-up.

    England winning both Tests?

England may be on the up and Robertson new to the world of Test rugby, but unless he does something truly stupid selection-wise or turns out to be a shit coach, I can't see England winning twice.

McWhannell really good this season. Renata has been the biggest surprise. Massive improvement at the scrum.

Mind you the massive improvement in Patty T’s scrummaging has been literally behind that.

He's probably not going to change team personnel much - sentimentality or not - for the first few Tests. He'll want to get his feet under the table first

He's about HIS legacy, not giving the Saders players a leg-up.

You'd have hoped he'd put the team's legacy above his own.

This would be easier if we could agree on his underlying philosophy, i.e. given the choice what does he value? The problem is we're lead to believe that the respective assistants are choosing players.
