You'd rather someone else? Or are you agreeing?

All Blacks XV has changed notably since losing series to Ireland

The Kiwis look stronger for some new faces and switching certain players’ roles.

@Bones All Blacks have better players in their starting XV compared to what Ireland faced in test series last year (better props, better backrow balance, better flyhalf, better 12, better wings), their bench is much stronger and they have better assistant coaches.

Alas, Foster is still head coach 😃

@Bovidae Irish fans v happy with the appointment of Barnes. Last 2 tests he has reffed them (vs NZ in 3rd test 2022 and vs France in 2023 6N) they have won.

Seems they were more concerned they would get Peyper 😃

At least they are really trying to immerse their overseas players, making them learn the language.

I'd say that Aussie-Irish Hansen has a greater grasp of Irish language than James Ryan although he has got strong political family history connections.

Bundee learned off the Irish anthem before setting foot on the pitch in his first cap which was impressive.

With Barnes in charge, does that mean anything goes at the breakdown?

Yes, but I'm not sure who that benefits the most!

@The-Irishman Both sets of coaches will be planning havoc at the breakdown. It could be absolute chaos 😃

New Zealand’s chances of doing so have been boosted with news that prop Tyrel Lomax could return from a knee injury.

“He's trained really well today, got through what he needed to and definitely he'll be considered for selection,” forwards coach Jason Ryan said.

“When you head into a final, which it is, it's important that you've got the luxury of picking from a squad that's fully available. That's where you want to be.

“You're always going to get niggles but it's great that Lowy (Lomax) has got through today and we have a pretty high intensive training on Thursday, so he'll need to tick that off as well."
