@MajorRage there were many Irish passes that looked a little forwards.
Who's the pillock who always says SavAYa?
and TamEYEti WilliamsRupert Cox probably. Has him on the Stan commentary. Idiot has Kal Te Nana effectively correcting him and still he keeps up the SarVayer.
On Stan if you donât click on the first option of watch live , scroll down you get the option of nz commentary.
I only recently discovered it myself.
I'd rather those two than Nisbett, especially when pronunciation is involved.
I watched the full game with the RWC commentary and the highlights with the NZ commentary. After 10 minutes of the NZ I was glad I watched the full with the RWC commentary.

They backed their "cut and paste" attack to pry open the ABs defence.
That was quite the telling comment from Foz.
As if, in actual fact, they have fuck all variation, and once you figure it out, you can defend it all day.
I noticed this in my drunken haze at the ground. It was all very methodical.
Boks guy was commenting on same at pub last night, and how slow Sexton was. Perhaps after the 30th phase a pop kick might have been worth a shot? Definition of insanity and all?
They were 4 points down
Their cut and paste wasn't working. Roll the die? Pretty tame ending for them.
You're thinking droppy earlier in the match? Thought you meant that last phase, whereupon a droppy would have lost it foe them by 1.

No, just think after, say, 30 phases, a chip kick would have been worth a shot. Might have even worked.

Aside from the pronunciation of Savea I really like the World feed main commentator (Rupert Cox?). He does a great job.
Is he a Kiwi? I did hear him say on-air that he went to Auckland GS, but I won't hold that against him.
The English sideline person in the England-Fiji game really struggled to say those Fijian names.

Watch it again and enjoy!!
No doubt the pass at 79:57 was a mile forwards too.
There were also 4 clear moments Barnes should have called it earlier. Hell, Ardie was basically inducted into the Rugby Hall of Fame he had latched onto the ball so long. All done now but damn.

I can imagine the outcry if BB or RM did a chip kick in the same situation and it didn't come off. I can see why Ireland didn't try one.

For people wondering about Ioane and shit talk, he was clearly neck rolled at 5:00. He came up with something to say, and I imagine he would have continued.
Forgot about that. Hear it clear in the coms. "Neck roll! Neck roll!"

@taniwharugby Fozzie & McLeod playing rope-a-dope?
I actually think it somewhat was. I've mentioned it numerous times. The ABs sit back, wait for the Irish to do their move then hit. Mostly worked this time.

"McLeod explained how the All Blacks in fact needed to go back to the drawing board on defence after realising that their defensive systems were falling behind that of European sides.
âAfter the series loss at home last year [against Ireland] which really hurt, we had to have a really good look at some fundamentals in the defensive game for the All Blacks and a big part of that was in Super Rugby in New Zealand they tend to defend the man. So, they line up on a man and they defend the man. Whereas that doesnât work against Ireland, it doesnât work against Italy, it doesnât work against France and we knew we had those teams more than likely in this World Cup.
âSo, we had to develop our ability to be able to defend the ball. Wherever the ball is we had to put people in front of that."
defensive systems were falling behind that of European sides. - love this comment especially

Completely.
Chances of NZ conceding a penalty were much higher than the chances of a chip actually resulting in anything. I didn't believe we'd stay penalty free for so long.
Their lineout drives were very very effective. We were like this:

Swoop is a dead set legend. GBRA is pretty good.

According to Rugby Onslaught...
What we understand Ioane said to Sexton was something along the lines of: âEnjoy retirement and donât miss the flight homeâ.
Brodie Retallick got one back on Irish back row Peter OâMahony, allegedly telling him: âOi Peter, four more years you ****witâ.
