Dunno. Never felt offended by gobby, audacious players like Mike Philips and McCaw. Ireland needed gobby and audacious players like sexton and oâmahony too. You donât like losing to us because of the history, but we ainât ever winning those those games without characters just like that. Anyway to the victor the spoils. Youâll put 40+ on Argentina.
Imagine calling McCaw gobby. Thanks for joining the Fern to present us with that take.

That's 100% on Frizzell. Ioane turns him in as he should, Shannon misses a straight shot
This game going with penalties at thr moment
If that had been Michael Jones Bundee would have had to have been renamed Ribs.
If it had been Jerome or Jerry, there would have just been a puddle left

@antipodean see I didnt even mind POM and his comment, it was amusing, not great for Cane, btu he has had the last laugh, but Sexton comes over as arrogant and full of self importance.
But yeah, McCaw as gobby?
-
Meh. You are better than us but all the bad mouthing of sexton by all blacks fans comes across as weak to me. He pumped you a good few times and that doesnât sit will with you because heâs not meek and self effacing like you expect us to be. But guess what. Winning is what counts and weâve gone from never beating you to pumping you five times in ten years. Would be a sad and soppy game if we turned everything into a saddo popularity contest. Maybe have a bit of grace and realise heâs one of the best youâve come across.

I have a line, where players cross from "he's a dick, but he's our dick" to "he's just a classless dick".
The "but he's our dick" is a player who's sh!thousery helps to win a match, or at least is an attempt to (e.g. Coles, Fitzy).
The "classless dick" is someone who goads an opponent or fans at the most disappointing moment of their careers. E.g. a Gregan or a Ioane.
Even, the in-game headpatting is getting into the classless territory for me, of which, Ioane is also a master.

One of the major criticisms of McCaw when he became captain was that he wasn't vocal enough. Gobby and audacious? Lay down the crack pipe.

Ah dude. You started out promising. The guy is a fantastic rugby player. He is also a prima donna and a whinger. You can be a great rugby player and not utterly unlikeable. Even non-Leinster fans struggle with him, ask anyone from Munster.

Nah. We like talented, competitive players regardless of the country they're from. I recognise that Sexton was both and had a long, storied career. He was also a right fluffybunny and that makes him unlikeable.

Yeah Ioane vs Sexton at the end of the game was a real âclash of the dickheadsâ.
I really hope our boy grows up and shows a bit of decorum down the line.

@antipodean
Loved mccaw. Loved winning a three test series against you in NZ too.Every Irish person that reads this forum and reads all of the CONSTANT and incessant WHINING about the supposedly offensive and egregious and horrible personalities of Sexton and OâMahony on this forum knows exactly whatâs up too (is this a sports forum or a reality tv celebrity gossip forum??!!) .
You got pumped a whole bunch of times in the last few years by us and youâre struggling to deal with that and despite us losing you know in your hearts weâll be back to challenge you in the future again. Fluffy bunnies doesnât even cover the insecurity and whininess of this forum. You should be glad your team takes us more seriously than you do. good luck going forward. New Zealand and South Africa in the final again. Fair play. Youâre the pinnacle of the sport we all love.

must feel Sexton posts here?
-
@ShitMcCaw TBH if one of our players behaved the same way as Sexton (esp abusing a ref) he would get treated with the same disdain and âconstant and incessant whiningâ on here.
It really has little to do with you beating us so you can drp that approach to defending inexcusable behaviour.
-
@antipodean
Too busy scowling at something.I love you guys and I love your team but in fairness the amount of time you spend doing âdeep divesâ on the âmoral deficitsâ of our team is a bit weak. Sexton knows youre the best. We all
Know youâre the best. Why the need to kick us when weâre down. Definitely donât see that on saffer forums. Saffers seem way more straight forward and generous. -
Maybe when all the focus is on one player the problem might be with him ⌠?
POM called Sam Cane your name. Then watched as he played MOTM to knock him out of WC. We enjoyed it.
As for being insecure âŚ. Well yeah, nothing new there.
Who knows what the future holds. Perhaps Ireland are permanently in the very top tier now, if so then you should rightly enjoy it. Maybe youâll continue to pump us, maybe you wonât. All to be decided.
Right, SF to prepare for. Enjoy your mad Monday.

@ShitMcCaw Plenty of admiration for your team in amongst the anti Sexton stuff. Some on here donât think some of our guys should be in the team because of off field behaviour, so itâs pretty even handed moral judgement (condescension) not nationality basedđ
