The Barretts to a brother have been hopeless.
Pissing rain for most of the game and Beaudy will come off the field spotless.
Jogging around.

and that is how you do an exit

Watching the NPC last night where the ref did his best stay out of the game, versus this, its a different game.
People keep saying this - so please tell us which calls he shouldn't have made today?
I think you're being deliberately obtuse.
Rugby is a sport where you can find a penalty at every ruck. Refs can do this, and you can then ask the question 'which call shouldn't have been made today'? What I want to see from refs is consistency, particularly around materiality. What shits supporters is the appearance of different standards during the game, or between teams.
3 penalties then a card 35 m out suggests a tightly whistled game; ignoring ball killing by SA late in the half will then have people asking whether that's consistent.
There is a lot of subjectivity, and there's a lot of pearl clutching on here, but the quality of the refereeing and the law interpretations aren't great. It's very hard to ref this game well, and the best refs generally let non-material things flow. As someone said, it's refs looking like they don't want attention, vs being at the centre of it.
This ref feels like a penalty for every ruck, and a card for most players. It's technically 'not wrong' but you'd struggle to say it's good. I've been frustrated with the framework and application of laws for a while, particularly around the inconsistencies from week to week.
Anyhoo, good physical but limited work from the Bokke. Well played, we've been defending really well, and playing some stupid stupid footy.
I am not trying to be obtuse ..... Technical and correct officiating (not surprising at all) and different to the loose application we have in super rugby -- I personally called it out on the fern that the SH teams would struggle in NH come RWC as a result of the consistently poor SR officiating..... and so far today the refs have been consistent.. yeah not a great advertisement for the game .. but that's more on the players than the officials.

Catch the ball you twats.

Frizzell stock continues to rise imo.

The hypocrisy of the foul play rules is staggering, you can put a shoulder into the head which upgraded to a red card , but a swinging arm to the head only constitutes a YC

Thank you for writing this.
To cheer on this ref performance is completely disingenuous.
