I'd love to know what Sonny told Quade, looked serious. Insights about the game?

Why did the AB’s kick so much in the first half? Pressure or game plan?

Christie should be gone even though the fwds were crap for the 1st 40mins which effected Dmac -- that said he made a lot of poor decisions today and kicked poorly to compound it.

although Dmacs time and delivery was impacted by Christie as well, meaning his execution impacted, Christie also needed to give his forwards a rocket, you hear Smith bossing his pack.

ALB was just ok. He is a stepper rather than someone that takes contact looking for soft shoulder.

That has been the issue having him and Havs, they both step too much. Ennor was actually a lot more direct. And that is way JB has had such an impact, he just breaks the gainline when he carries.

Even if he doesn't male big clean breaks, Jordie drags defenders to him, they can't keep resetting effectively. He's been a loss.

it looked to me like DMAC was trying miracle stuff. static ball. no go forward and staccato possession due to dropped ball etc.

the kicking was just panic stations.

Smith is clearly our best halfback by some distance, but lately I thought he has been at 95%, not today: he really brought his A game. Was quite outstanding. But overall Ardie (with that saved try!!) is my MOTM.

Big concern for me was how poor our line out was. Even with a scratch team, no excuses.

All stuff Clarke has delivered this year. Hasn't muffed a try though eh.

Seems a bit harsh, don't think he would have created that opportunity so can't say he'd muff a try he'd be unlikely to make.

Why is Koroibete allowed to tackle with his (no-arms) shoulders? He seems to get away with it (nearly) every match.

Yeah Leicester made post contact metres several times in the middle of the park. He did a bit of jordie's work, really. Clarke has never done that

@Steve dunno, some of the kicking at all levels this year and recent years would indicate this is a tactic, and I think this is where execution needs to be bang on, or or else it is pointless.

Thought the Wobs were excellent in the 1st 40, didnt let us into the game, were unlucky not to be furtehr ahead, which in hindsight would have won them the game.

We on the other hand, couldnt get into the 1st spell, lack of cohesion, poor execution making poor decisions and errors, looked like a rabble out there.

Was the cliched game of 2 halves

You're right, he would have scored it.

I'm not really fussed on quibbling over which wing is going to score 4 against Namibia the only time he's out of a shirt and tie. Meh.

Finau was fucken right at home though eh.

in the second half he was good, but like the rest of the pack he was a bit average first half - liked the way he developed in to the game though- and certainly should be on the plane

@Mattasaurus huh, go figure. I thought he was a shining light - but I was crediting him with probably half of the things that Nisbo said Savea did.

Fozzie’s gamble almost bit him in the ass. But kudos to the team for pulling through. A lot of the comeback can be put at Smith/Richie’s feet.

Some good performances - Finau, Fainga’anuku to name a couple. All in all it will build more strength and experience in the squad.

Not one of ST's finest games, lineout throwing was wonky and was quiet around the field. Don't remember any dominate pick and goes from him.

@TheMojoman It was great selections from him. Great to find out about unproven players in a dead rubber.

It is funny how things look different when you are at the game... thought McKenzie was shocking but Christie quite good. Mo'unga changed the game when he came on for mine... Smith sharp, but as I say, felt Christie was actually quite good. Finau was rubbish in the first half, but really grew into it.
