Christian Cullen (Wellington), Doug Howlett (Auckland), Mark Robinson (Canterbury), Aaron Mauger (Canterbury, vice captain), Caleb Ralph (Canterbury), Andrew Mehrtens (Canterbury), Justin Marshall (Canterbury), Scott Robertson (Canterbury), Richard McCaw (Canterbury), Reuben Thorne (Canterbury, captain), Norm Maxwell (Canterbury), Chris Jack (Canterbury), Greg Somerville (Canterbury), Mark Hammett (Canterbury, vice captain), Dave Hewett (Canterbury).

A couple of hacks ruining the party.

I wouldn’t pick one Wellington or Auckland player in my….

Im still sore over how Cullen was shown the door.

When I think about Rugby and what Rugby should look like.....I see Christian Cullen.

    That's what its all about.

If I was Eddie , I’d be trying to take advantage that the abs may just be a tad complacent after being 2-0 up against a team that is 0-2 , not firing warning shots 😁

It is about media attention. Like Cheika, he wants to keep the spotlight on his bullshit rather than the performances.

yeh I don't underestimate Eddie, he is sneaky.

    I think I’ve been to 3 or 4 at the g ,

All had big crowds , but I think bledisloe games had a much higher profile then ( in Australia anyway ), there would be lots of people travelling from interstate and nz . Lots of people walking around the city through the day in wallaby and Allblacks jerseys and scarfs. Even if the game itself was largely ignored by local media it would be packed out by those that care.

I suspect this one might struggle in comparison. Hopefully I’m wrong.

Can’t see Oz playing as badly for the next 2 games, neither the ABs as well. Surely one of them will be close.

Guessing tickets for the G were sold long before the first 2 tests. Based on experience, whatever RA say they’re expecting you can knock off 20%.

What Jones must fix to win back the Bledisloe Cup off the All Blacks

What Jones must fix to win back the Bledisloe Cup off the All Blacks

Buoyed by a solid historical record at the MCG, perhaps an early red card to the All Blacks, some fire from younger Wallabies, and maybe Jones will get what he needs.

Knowler might have to hand back his eye patch for suggesting SB gets a rest. A possibility I suppose.

@Bovidae if the test was off the back of a huge workload v SA, but everyone has now had 2 weeks rest, all no doubt ready to go, no need to rest anyone really, is now just about giving the right players game time.

This fixture should be about putting the knee on the throat. Best possible XV to start and some opportunity from the bench.

If the game is decided by the reserves, something has gone horribly wrong.

Heard an interview with knuckles Connelly earlier this morning on the radio . I don’t know if he has any history with Eddie jones ( he wasn’t complimentary) but he was paying out on the decision to get rid of dave Rennie and bring in Eddie , thinks they are worse off .

No history that I’m aware of and the way that I took what he said was more a swipe at the ARU and the whole process, timing etc. I didn’t mind Knuckles. He didn’t get long in the top job, just a couple of seasons and then was dumped.

Was good to hear the big man after a couple of tough years health wise.

Never really rated him tbh. His Qld team was absolutely freaking stacked. I guess you could say the same about Sir GH's Blues, but they at least won at the pointy end of the season.

ALB & Telea on press duty today.

I'd prefer ALB on the bench.

Fairly certain Sam Whitelock and ALB will be in the 23. I don’t expect many other changes.

If it were Eden Park I’d agree. I think AB’s will win but it will be by 7-10PTS.

My rationale is Aus are at home (if you can call Melb home), they’ve got a talented roster that now has had a month and two games together, some good returning players like Tupou etc.

The key for the AB’s will be to get on top early and start exerting scoreboard pressure to force the Wallabies into plan B etc. Given their lack of game time together it will likely be the Wallabies undoing ie, going away from structure and game plan to play catch-up rugby.

We’ll know within 20mins how this will go.

I’d start Barrett at 6 with Frizell and Blackadder/Jacobson on the bench.

Nothing against Frizell and but we need to see if Barrett is an true option at 6 of do we lock in Frizell from here on in.
