Australia v All Blacks - Bled I

@ACT-Crusader agreed, was better than i was expecting (except the smoke from the fireworks), i just hope they do at least get close to selling out, 50k might look super full at the MCG
I'm assuming the Vic Government is helping foot some of the bill to gte the games in Melbourne, you just know sydney or Brisbane would be easier to get a big crowd

It's not uncommon for the head coach to be a man manager and the assistants to be the technical coaches.
Yes, I think it's more an indictment on the previous assistant coaches.

@KiwiMurph really? i cant imagine theyre going to fill Marvel for any game the rebels play....

As long as they have found a formula that works , thats all that matters to me

I guess they are banking on an extra-large touring fanbase from Lions given no crowd in South Africa on the last Lions tour.

@KiwiMurph i guess so, rebels basically playing an away game

@reprobate Yep, well we kind of have opinions. I agree RMo has always liked playing in second line, even for Crusaders he seems most comfortable with Havili taking the ball as first receiver. I think DMac can operate at 10 if needed, but would still go with RMo and BB .
I not into the anyone but BB at 15, but not part of anti BB (or anyone) brigade anyway. I thought we has a system they obviously trying to get to work, when it does, I not a fan of dropping it. If BB not at 15 I would have RMo and Dmac anyway to play same style. -

Interesting to hear BB on the rugby podcast that Schmidt has had a lot of influence on their structure and backplay this season. What was telling was BB said the entire team has buy in to what Schmidt is selling which may suggest in previous years they had doubts about Fozzies masterplan.
He actually says they bought into Schmidt's way of doing, and that Fozzie has always been the one who is the masterplan man , and still does. Sounded like they struggled with Brad Moar, but never hinted at that anyway.

Possibly. Recall the likes of RM and others (BBBR?) going out of their way to support Foster last year so good to hear them doing the same for Ryan and Schmidt. Teamwork, togetherness and all that.

Hmmm....that support lead to Foster getting the given the don't come back. Are Ryan and Schmidt both gone too?

Should’ve played at AAMI. 50K+ aren’t going out to watch the Rebels get smashed. But 25k diehards would

Add Ofa, Colesey and Nepo and you have the Bulk of AB Bench. 6-2 anyone? https://i.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/all-blacks/300929876/all-blacks-quintet-released-for-npc-preseason-action-in-te-awamutu-on-saturday

Jones has made major changes with fullback Tom Wright the notable omission from the squad after two straight defeats to start the season. Wright has been left out of the squad along with Brumbies teammate Pete Samu and Rebel Reece Hodge. Josh Kemeny and Matt Gibbon along with Reds prop Zane Nonggorr have also made way, with Pone Fa'amausili and Blake Schoupp retaining their place in the squad after they were late inclusions for the Sydney Test. It comes as a host of players return from injury, headlined by Rebel Andrew Kellaway. Kellaway is joined by backrower Langi Gleeson and outside back Jordan Petaia for the Tests in Melbourne and Dunedin. Prop Taniela Tupou has also been confirmed to return after coming back via Australia A last week in Tonga.

As much as people hate Eddie swapping and changing his squads, he's brutal when it comes to form.

So Ala'alatoa has been dropped? Selective form then.
