significant drop in height?
I have no idea any more. I thought that was exactly what WR were trying to get out of the game- impacts to the head with force
The game is a laughing stock. The RWC will be decided on this garbage with the eyes of the world watching on.
Taa'vao gets red for accidental head clash where he comes out the worse off. Porter gets a yellow for an "absorbing" tackle....a term I had never heard uttered until that very day.
Then you see stuff like this.....they can fuck right off with decisions like that.
Either the head is sacrosanct or it isn't.
Danty got away with an identical one in the European Cup Final last week too.
This stuff fucking matters.

I see little difference in what happened there to the well known SBW Red.
Second tackler in with time to see the risk that the first tackler would be holding ball carrier in a position where the head was level with his shoulder.
What is a significant drop measured from? Standing upright?
As far as I saw BBBR didn’t drop after AA lined him up. -
So an outstanding defensive effort by the Chiefs (ignoring ENS's positioning for the final Brumbies try), and the Chiefs nullified the Brumbies lineout drive. Jacobson was superb.
The backs were a little clunky on attack so that needs to be improved.
How was Samu allowed to return to the field after being subbed? He was off the field for longer than 10 mins.

Teams seem to get on pretty well. They all seem to be chatting amongst each other which is good to see after there used to be a bit of animosity between the NZ and Oz players for a while IIRC.
I noticed that all the Kiwi boys were chatting post-game, as some are/were provincial teammates.

I know he just scored, but the Chiefs look better with DMac at 10
With Gatland's injury, Ioane needed to play so I could understand why he started. He also hasn't played much recently. DMac will be at 10 in the playoffs.

i was surpised by samu return as i thought he left with knee injury. thought ENS had a very good game (other than last try) and is a going under rader a bit with his performences. LJ best running game of the season.defence alround great.
i wonder if the other teams have fiqured our attack out. insaying that we seem to be playing a bit within ourselfs on attack -

Why did Jahrome Brown leave? I guess it was blood or a head knock not a regular sub and then he wasn’t able to return?

It didn't look to be blood or a head knock. I thought that only front rowers could come back on for safety reasons. Remember when DMac had to come on very late to replace McWhannell earlier in SR.

- Tactically replaced players may return to play only when replacing:
a. An injured front-row player.
b. A player with a blood injury.
c. A player with a head injury.
d. A player who has just been injured as a result of foul play (as verified by the match officials).
e. The nominated player described in Law 3.19 or 3.20.So it all depends on why Brown left. I wasn’t paying attention

Just watched this. Found the inconsistent officiating frustrating. Offsides in front of kicker ignored until an insignificant one. Players on ground allowed to play ruck ball, knock ons flagged on. And I thought Alaalatoa was a red card going by precedent.
So best thing was that the Chiefs held composure through all that.
Ratima much improved tonite but I thought Josh Ioane struggled and his kicking was limp.
Clear MOM for Luke Jacobson and a lot of skills shown by Narawa.
Need to play DMac at 10 for big games. Brumbies sensibly took him out of the game for long periods. -

While hear what you are saying about moving DMac back to 10 and agree, I also thought it was one of best fullback performamces of the season last night.
If the selectors agree then he’s pushing hard with BB for the role of 15 that covers 10.
I feel a bit for Perofeta, as he was groomed all last season as understudy but didn’t get the playing time. His injuries haven’t helped but then again DMac should have been at the last RWC except for injury -
I have to say ,I thought the performance od particulary Jacobson, but also Cane were bloody good. Also I was impressed with whole forward pack, and it's great to see that kiwi teams are learning to counter the driving maul off lineout. We seemed to be unable to find the answer for a while there.
