@canefan the list of players that command that kind of respect seems to be dwindling, everyone seems to some question marks
At least Scooter appears to command his own spot in the team now
ive come around to Barrett a bit in the last year or so, really wasnt a fan around 2019, but i still prefer him as a lock that covers 6 rather than a 6, i dont think im alone and that kind of puts an * next to him commanding a spot

New Zealand Rugby (NZR) has announced the four coaches who will assist Scott Robertson when he becomes All Blacks Head Coach after the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Current All Blacks assistant coach Jason Ryan will be joined by Leon MacDonald, Jason Holland and Scott Hansen, with the group to take up their respective roles in 2024.
Incumbent All Blacks forwards coach Ryan will continue his role in 2024. Current Blues Head Coach MacDonald will lead the attack with assistance from Hurricanes Head Coach Holland, while Crusaders Assistant Coach Hansen will be in charge of defence. Nic Gill, who has been a key part of the All Blacks management group since 2008, will stay on as Head of Performance, leading the Health and Performance team. -
there you go then, 3 of the 5 super teams needing new head coaches
-
Winningest Blues coach of all time? Surely that was Henry?
-
@Rancid-Schnitzel I'm assuming they are basing that on total wins rather than win %

@Crucial looks that way but nzr have conditions in place
Well the NZR can not put a quota in for who the new coaches pick and from which team.
So Not sure about Conditions by NZR. -

@Crucial How many of them are actually from Canterbury?
Don't know, don't care.
This coaching group however has been pulled from coaches and assistants all with links to the Crusaders and Canterbury. I expect that quite naturally there will be advantages to players that have also been part of those systems and a perception of bias from others which will become a deafening noise should the team not perform and other player options are overlooked.
Not saying that it will happen. I hope it doesn't. Doesn't mean I'm painting Razor as anything either.
Just hope that we don't start seeing losses on the backs of selections akin to the days of Hammet, Robinson, Ralph, Gibson and Razor.
I think there was one team with 13/15 Cantabs that came pretty close to being beaten by Ireland in Carisbrook. -

Razor is a pretty smart coach he will want the best player's that fit his game plan and the Culture he wants to create.
There will be some players from Fosters time as coach not selected I am sure as they will not fit the Criteria Robertson and the coaches want,Always happens when a new coaching structure takes over, some elements gone and new ones added. -

I am saying that I hope the team does well because if it doesn't the accusations of red and black bias from the rest of the country will be loud if there are players that look like they are there because they are known ahead of form.
