Rebels v Hurricanes

It is testy among Canes fans. The new Canes halfback played well. Future looks bright.

@Canes4life Geez man, you're spewing venom. Chill.

Despite all the BS chat on here, I agree, Roigard was the best on the park in that first spell. His box kicking is the best I’ve seen from a NZ halfback for some time, the height on some of those kicks was outstanding. The boy from Counties has a very bright future ahead of him.

Moorby was solid enough but you'd have to think Love comes in at 15 when he is fit - if Love can carry on his form from the second half of last year he'd add a real point of difference.
Would you shift Moorby to the wing?
A back three of Rayasi, Moorby and Love would be pretty sweet. Savea off the bench for impact. However I feel like Holland wouldn’t drop Savea from the right wing position.

It’s very chill here thanks.

Yep I would. Patefilo could be worth a look as well.

@KiwiMurph Patafilo is a Crusader, this season.
Ah thanks. Trick missed there by the Hurricanes.

You guys are so lucky that there’s no room at the Chiefs Inn.

@Canes4life Maybe you should take both your blinders off. You're putting words in my mouth. You're the one just assuming what I mean. All I said was that PR-S was the regular starting LH, last season. The rest is just you making stuff up.
What blinders? Mafileo isn’t from Wellington?
Lol don’t give me that, these stupid memes you keep posting clearly show what you’re thinking. PRS might have started more games last year but Mafileo is our best tight-head right now off the back of a very strong NPC for BOP. He’s more suited to Super and International level footy compared to smaller props like Numia and PRS.
As a bop supporter I have found Mafileo quite disappointing. Not good around the field in NPC. Top scrummager but you need accuracy and energy in the other stuff.

I did see Ardie was cited
"The Commissioner determined that the incident had met the threshold for a red card and the All Black will now face a hearing before the SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee on Monday 6 March 2023, via video-conference."
My guess is 2 weeks.
-
Roigard is a keeper. His speed, incisive decision making and timing on the ball is palpable. I dont think it's any surprise the Canes have fared better since he has been starting. He's running the show from 9 and easing the pressure on Morgan in doing so. Should be on the AB selectors radar.

@Machpants haha I know, some of the headlines 'threatened to kill' haha wtf.

Much ado about nothing. Ridiculous that he was cited. If I was on the receiving end, and I am sure we have all had similar things said/indicated to us on the field, I would do what I always did. Hid behind a lock! Not really

Anyway see what law he is cited under?
Edit: Savea is alleged to have contravened Law 9.27: A player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship.

9.27 A player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship including but not limited to:
Hair pulling
Spitting at anyone
Grabbing, twisting or squeezing the genitals (and/or breasts in the case of female players)
OtherMassive virtue signalling by officials to equate a verbal dispute that includes a gesture with hair pulling, spitting or ball squeezing.
Everyone agrees that it wasn’t a good look but this law isn’t about game repute it is about foul play toward others.
Oh well, let the lawyers nut it out. -

@Crucial I would suggest that the Stan rugby panel achieved their result on Friday night I not sure Ardie will defend it, he has already said he was wrong just we may hear what was said that got him and Numia so fired up.
Jeez it would crack me up if it turned out to be a racial jibe.
Not throwing stones here just imaging the egg on the faces.
Ardie: I tried to put it to bed after the game but as you insisted on dragging things into the court of record, here’s what went down.Citing Commissioner gets cited for bringing the game into disrepute. 🙀
