@Canes4life yeah big struggle for Roigard and Christie with how their forward packs were just getting bitch slapped all over the park eh.
It’s all perspective aye which is why myself and others had Roigard up there as one of the top halfbacks of the week. He churned through a lot of work despite playing in the heat of Townsville, which is a lot harder than playing in Chch this time of year, plus if you want to play that game Roigard is the only one who doesn’t have an All Black outside him taking the pressure off.
Weber was rusty in the first half, had a solid second but he wasn’t that far ahead of Roigard and Christie like you say.

Lol when someone has a different opinion to @Bones he reverts to being a troll. Classic Bonesy.

Losing what? Colour me surprised you think Roigard was the bees knees against that high class reds outfit, I'm sure it's got nothing to do with your typical bias. No trolling or losing here, just the ability to see other teams.

No I thought Weber was the best halfback of the week as mentioned above, but I just didn’t agree with your statement that he was by far and away the best halfback of the week because he wasn’t. Roigard and Christie were very solid aswell, it doesn’t matter if their opposition were weaker, they still had very strong performances.
And what bias? In all my posts recently I’ve mentioned players from other teams I.e Jorgensen, Toole, Telea, Stevenson etc. In fact if I had to choose a top XV for this week I would probably only pick one Hurricane in Jordie. Aumua was another candidate in the hooking position but Samisoni probably edges it there for me.
I agree that I like to hype some players up, ie Roigard, Lakai and Higgins recently but I know talent when I see it and I just want them to perform well. I’m pretty sure every Ferner is guilty of that from time to time.

Haven’t watched all of all the games but these players stood out to me
SRP (NZ teams)
DMac
Stevenson
Whitelock
RoigardSR Aupiki
Willison
Connor
Roos
McMenimen
Holmes
Murray -
@Crucial well in Aus and haven't seen Aupiki, but from what I have seen pretty well agree, not sure anyone from Blues, they were beaten in forwards, especially at breakdowns, and noone from backs really looked that good. Good to see a few players backing up good first up games, DMac, Roigard and Stevenson spring to mind.

Missed all the rugby this week. But the breakdown between teams is
5 Crusaders
8 Chiefs
1 Highlander and Hurricane -

1 Highlander and HurricaneArdie would have been a shoe in if it wasn’t for his brain fart. Completely dominant in that opening stanza with two tries. Roigard unlucky to miss out to an inform Brad Weber.

Ardie really went off the boil after that as well. Managed through the rest of the game but seemed to hold back a touch.

1 Highlander and HurricaneIWL better than Vai'i IMO. Early times but Rayasi is very impressive this year. No brain farts so far.
I would give the best right wing nomination to Telea who was very good once again. -

Stuff's team of the week
Crusaders 6
Blues 2
Hurricanes 3
Chiefs 3
Highl;anders 1Roigard from the Canes was a must pick this week. Jordie misses out and fair enough as he made the final scoring pass for the Waratahs. But otherwise he had a good game. Proctor was also VG but not a glamour player. But has stepped up this year after a VG NPC last year. Numia is also playing much better this year than last years SRP
Still to see the 2nd half of the Blues Crusaders game
In total, six Crusaders feature in Stuff’s team of the week.Fainga'anuku would be the power winger option instead of Caleb Clarke.
Fainga'anuku’s tryscoring feats on Saturday – especially his effort when he swatted off Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and then outpaced him – were made all the more meritorious because he revealed afterwards that he was carrying a rib cartilage injury.
It was a personal win for the Crusaders No 11 on Saturday, while Richie Mo’unga and Dallas McLeod also got one over Beauden Barrett and Tuivasa-Sheck.
Still to see the 2nd half of the Blues Crusaders game

Oh, and best NZ second five was Stacey Ili.
He’s on fire for the Rebels.

interesting to compare to rugbypass, i thought TUJ was a huge presence for us when it came to front foot ball, hunt could shovel the ball on and generally not loose ground

Burke at 15? Surely someone was better than him. The best I can say about him on the weekend was that I don't recall any major blunders.
