I haven't been following the test until tonight. I see that Conway and Blundell got runs. Nicholls missed out.
I probably could have told you that before it began.
Nicholls will make runs just as he's about to be dropped, kicking the can down the road a bit longer
I think he's going to need to score in the second innings.
I have defended Nicholls in the past but he's terribly out of form, and he isn't of such a class that the team can afford to carry him. Time for Will Young to get another go. Maybe at 3 and let KW drop down a place.

Young is an option for sure and a strong arguement can be made to give him more opportunities, but he has failed to take his chances so far. Things are so bad that aside from Young there is virtually nobody else. Maybe Ravindra, but despite being one of the more talked up youngsters he seems to be getting held back for some reason. As much as I don't rate Nichols I can see why he is still there.

The problem with Ravindra is that he hasn't really even dominated domestic cricket. He looked promising and many people have said he is a future Black Cap but he hasn't managed the step up to even first class or list A cricket.

Do England declare tonight or just keep piling on the runs?
I was wondering that. It's only the 3rd day, their approach really does advance the game quickly. If I were them I'd probably just look to pile on the runs and then give themselves 5 -6 sessions to bowl us out, were very unlikely to survive that long.

Brook is some player.

Brook is some player.
Not much foot movement but he times the ball so well.

There you go, the lack of footwork led to his downfall. The analysis on here is always superior to what's on TV 🙂
Big talent though.

Well, that last wicket just leaves the door ajar for us. England ahead but some early wickets in the next session will make things interesting.

Rigor is a disgrace.
"Catch that, catch that! Yesss!!"
How neutral of him.
I have no problem with commentators that aren't neutral.

He's still more than ready to give compliments about the opposition, and he's working for the home broadcaster

Awful shot from Conway
