Take a punt use LF at least he can bend the line,No kicking game but ALB hasn't either and can not bend the line either.
Havilli has a kicking game but will not break the line either.
For me stick a big fucker back in there to smash over the advantage line so our forwards have a chance to play off the from foot.I agree
Massive ALB fan, but physical presence isn't what you get. And this is a bit like the 6 discussion; by picking Smith and Mo'unga you drive a need for a specific player type at 12 ... which we don't really carry much of in the squad.
The alternative is to abandon our game plan, lean into the heat and pick a side to run France off their feet. Can't see it working, but then I dont' think we've got the physicality or mentality to grind out a win

This part is not going to work also because the Referees are going to slow the game down enough for this not to happen.
Stoppages, penalties, resets, the Refs will not want to make a mistake so the game will not be a fast one more a grind I think. -

Leicester wouldn't disgrace himself in my opinion. He's got the profile of the aforementioned players but he has an offload game.
Shame he didn't get minutes there over the last few years.
We faffed around with ALB, RTS and Havili for too long. Then picked McCleod and subsequently jettisoned him.
Chickens coming home to roost at both 6 and 12.

We need go forward ball as much as possible. To keep Aldritt et al away from the pill.
Side to side crabbing from ALB will have us conceding turnover pens, ending up in our own half, poor exits and the shit show that ensues.

dont forget goodhue getting a shot when ever he was briefly fit

World Rugby really have set them up to fail...on one hand wanting the game sped up, but not giving better direction as to where they can pull players/teams up for slowing.

Jesus yeah.
That Allblacks XV team was misused too in retrospect.
Your FInaus, Roigards, Leicesters, Jacobsens etc could have had decent minutes there and an easy enough touch against Japan to get confidence.
Did anyone from the XV get into the squad? It looks like a completely redundant affair with hindsight.

100%,I have this horrible feeling we are going to revert back to that sideways shit.
Ive never seen ALB or Havili truck it up with interest. It's all basketball passes and crabbing.
You could have Lomu and Rokocoko on each wing and they would be getting the ball with a blanket defence drifting on to them.
Lets hope Foster has kept some serious fucking powder dry.
-
@Kiwiwomble not for a moment suggesting he should be there, but at NPC (yeah yeah, I know) this year he has provided the direct type of play that we are after at 12 in the ABs...just a shame injury slowed him down, cos he has an excellent rugby brain.
-
If we get smoked in game one v France reverting back to that trying to run teams off their feet in a WC,Were the Fuck to we go from there Game plan B or C.
I don't think we have one.
This campaign his going to be a Foster masterpiece or a complete fucking shambles, no middle ground. -

LF at 12? Bahahahaaahaha.
Bryce Heem would excite me more than ALB or Havili.
ALB can do a job while JB is out. DH is a poor defender and can’t hit the ball up. Makes RM more of a problem, least ALB is a good defender.
Suggesting LF is hilarious.
-
LF at 2nd five brilliant idea can break tackles will get over the advantage line and not play like a crab .
Should be fun watching ALB get smoked and running sideways, that should work wonders against the French ,
No wonder we are breaking all sorts of unwanted records with that thinking lol, -

So we hear tonight if Jordie is going to play? I think it will be Havili if he out, RMo is comfortable with him and Ioane has played a few tests with him, so is obvious replacement to me.
Havili was awesome at 12 against weaker opposition. But fark me, Smith Mo'unga Havili has got 'run at me bro' written all over it.
Our 12 cupboard is as bare as our 6, and I sheet this home to selections and coaching once again.
Wouldn't you love a developed Laumape right now?
I would be happy with a fit Tupaea would do me, I admit to not be concerned about Laumape, he made his decision.
