There is a Blackadder shaped hole in the squad.
I can see him getting called up should something go awry.
I haven't been following NPC. Is he back playing?
Yeah he had storming game yesterday played 60 min and the week before put in a very good 40min.

@mariner4life
Compares similar to Frizzell
Frizzell 108kg
Blackadder 111kg
Frizzell 6ft 5 in the old measurement
Blackadder 6ft 3 -
Pretty cool story

Blackadder 6ft 3Adam Thompson was 110kgs too - active as hell around the park.
Never shifted a single body at a ruck though

Won plenty of turnovers though
That would be handy right about now

Can only comment on what I see now, and Sunday Blackadder was impressive.I agree. I do think he gets talked about like he's some world class test star though, when, mostly due to injury, we just don't know as he hasn't played enough in big tests

Chalk and cheese Blackadder was smoking bodies on Sunday.
Good to hear
Tbh I haven’t seen enough of him against decent opposition to really make a call - but the times I have seen him, he’s been super busy, no care for his body sort of stuff. But just not folding people or bending defensive lines like I really want our 6 to do.
The only point I was making with Thompson was just that height and weight are not necessarily good predictors of impact

We have a gap at 7 which would fit Blackadder. Cane and Dalton are both not really up to it. Despite people seeming to have strong opinions either way, they're both kinda the same player and mediocre as far as the great history of the black 7 goes. Blackadder is too small for 6 really, but our options there are a bit shit too: Frizzel of the one good game, and Barrett the lock. Then the balance problem is exacerbated by having Savea 'wow what leg drive that's gained a metre post contact and made for slow ball that we can't do fuck all with' at 8.
Put Blackadder and Finau in, then at least we wouldn't want for fellas throwing themselves into it. Fuck it why not put Sotutu in too. if you're gonna have an 8 who doesn't do the hard yards why not have one who can genuinely run and pass like a back.

In the head to head game in Hamilton, Papalii had a huge game, and the Blues dominated possession and territory in the 2nd half. They also played the dumbest rugby that I have ever seen, and Beauden Barrett kicked the ball away so much that it should have been made a capital crime in the NZ criminal code. Christ, the number of penalties in the 22 they took as scrums.
