Given the way we play, Havili doesn't fit at 12. He's not in the running as centre. Doesn't play wing and never plays fullback, where he may have been able to make a case over the last few years.

But even there he's behind the obvious targets.

TBH I'm not thrilled with taking any player that's been in rehab more than they've played minutes on the field this year.

    Except Lord.

Dave's alright on your last point. He appears to have played nine times for the Crusaders this year.

Thing is - if you don't take Dave who are you going to take?

They're not going to take someone who's never played before - so the likes of Nankivell and, unless he has an absolute blinder on Saturday, McLeod.

Tupaea hasn't played in a year - may have his first start this weekend, but Dave was generally preferred to Quinn when they were both fit.

Goodhue hasn't played for the ABs for nearly three years and there's an obvious issue with his speed. I'd be happy enough with him, though.

Or Ennor. If Dave gives you the heebie-jeebies when he's playing, you must shit your pants with Braydon. He makes me very, very nervous.

@canefan Goodhew has been told already that AB selectors have no interest in him

A shame. A potentially very good AB career blighted by injuries

@Bovidae Georgia is 11th which means the Aus, Wales, Fiji, Georgia pool will be competitive....

Come RWC time we could easily be 11th

The social media.post the ABs put up today asking the squad if they would rather run it straight at Kaino or tackle Jonah in full flight was pretty good

Question should have been running it straight at Jerry

ALB is the next midfield option after JB and Ioane. He covers both 12 and 13, which neither Havili or Ennor do

Plus he is v. experienced. Valuable in a knock-out tournament

    @Machpants

    That's good to hear.

Went to a sports lunch pre RWC2015 where Fitzy was speaking. Mentioned he had met regularly with the team on the previous EOYT and was hooking up with them during the tournament.

Man, I finally saw the snail trail fern jersey in the flesh this weekend, ugh, it is really obvious and looks childish and cheap. The jerseys they are wearing now don't have it on them, I just thought it was very subtle. Nope gopping, saving me some dosh tho

It's obvious on the polo shirt and training top - it's not obvious at all on the actual jersey. Talk about a beat up over nothing.

Foster drops nobody. Not for form, not for a better mix, not to change the style of play.

Shannon Frizzell & Codie Taylor say "Hi".

They are selling them at the local mall here. They look like shit and are made of shit material, but I saw a bunch of kids looking at them and one purchase.

Since the Jersey and the shirts are different, my care factor is exactly zero.

It's totally obvious on the RWC jerseys, looks crap as fuck. One was in the window in a shop, you could see the snail trails from across the street 🤮
Can't see it on the jersey they are wearing now, as it doesn't have it. Only RWC stuff

    Yeah I’d agree with that,

Jerry used to do something that was a bit unique at times , he would hit them first with the shoulder and then a slight pause while he seemed to hold them up and brace himself, then finish them with a body slam into the dirt .

Sometimes it was that secondary action that would make you cringe for the poor bastard on the receiving end 😁

@Victor-Meldrew Are you arguing that Foster does drop players, or that he doesn't?

Cody Taylor is back where he always was -- starting. Despite not being the best hooker in the country.

Frizzell is back starting too. No-one has ever been preferred to him since he made his way in. The only chance he had of being taken out of the preferred 15 was for other old-timers, so Scott Barrett can be included.

the snail trail is definitely on their current jerseys, saw it on the weekend, i think theyre ones are a slightly different fabric or just not as obvious from a distance....but definitely saw it when close up on one of the players, Savea lifting the bledisloe for example

Oh OK, maybe it is just the replicas that have it so fucking disgustingly obvious

They brighten the patterns in the photos so you can see them.

They don't show out that much in person.
