just saw a video where sam cane was talking about how there is 14 ferns and the 15th is the crest....you can count more than that in these pics...are they just making shit up to create some meaning?
The retail ones are made from one roll of fabric, so the number and lay out you get will vary from Jersey to Jersey. I guess the players ones are standardized as they are made to measure
I like the white one, for once. Also more comfortable on hot summer day!

shows the pattern might catch the light quick easily...
It looks like two different jerseys. The one that Jason Momoa is holding looks like the one that will be worn by the players.

Designed by a french dude. They should have got a kiwi to design it.
At least if we lose to the French we’ve got a scapegoat

@KiwiMurph the one he is wearing isnt a RWC one, doesnt have the RWC logo in place of the Adidas on the right side of the chest.

The one he is holding is. That’s what Murph was referring too I think.

@ACT-Crusader yeah, @KiwiMurph says "is holding"
-
@ACT-Crusader I've had a shit of a day, I scan read it as the one he was wearing

What's the 'uso symbol', btw?
This from stuff. And I hope the jersey looks ok on the field. As it looks ok in some photos but awful in others
*And at the heart of the on-pitch jersey is an emblem made up of 14 differently sized ferns, which signifies the diversity and differing experience of the current squad.
“Completing the emblem, the crest of the team acts as the 15th fern, with each facing inwards to create the “USO” mark; a Samoan term meaning brother, in honour of the bond between the All Blacks.”*

@Duluth Me and you both mate. Love the fact that others buy them, and I will buy ather supporters' gear at times, but never a jersey. Old fashioned in that way, earning the right etc.
And add to fact, it just has to be a Black jersey I pretty happy with whatever jersey is.No please, not this again…
It’s a piece of clothing from a retail outlet.
Yep and read what I said, I Love the fact that others buy them, but I don't because for me I wouldn't wear one because of my thoughts. Where did I say it not ok for you or every joe to wear one?? Christ why can noone feel different to you?

Agree. It seems like a strange decision. Unsure how much say NZR had in the jersey design? Or was it mostly adidas pushing Fey the Wolf and the final design.

Yup, that's what I meant. What is the USO mark? What does it look like?

Also in conjunction with ABs, and you know the French outfit actually knit the fabric!
For the RWC in France and with a French sponsor

Yep but ABs jerseys are always made overseas, did you se the programme on Adidas actually working on designs and fabric for the jerseys I think it was before last WC? There were sets made up and trialled secretly in games. Was all done in Germany.

Not sure i like it ,
But im sure ill come to love it if its a successful year
ive got a superstition in world cup years , never buy the jersey unless we win ,
Brought the grey one in 07 , fucken hate it
in 11 and 15 brought them after we won with the cup on the sleeve .

It's a piece of merchandise. Not one single person who sees you in it thinks "oh fuck that guy played for the ABs"
Earned the right.... jesus
