All Blacks 2023

Thought Dallas McLeod had been playing well. Big, fast lad with very good defense. Has showed 120% more than what RTS ever did when he got the call up anyway...
Stevenson has a chance so I hope he gets an opportunity. The only real gripe for me is Clarke makes it with all the glaring weaknesses in his game but Stevenson needs to be perfect (as someone previously mentioned).
Sotutu had a shocker in the semi and was pulled but I thought he had a really good season up to a few weeks or so ago. Feel for the lad. -

Foster admits the performances in the semifinals did change the squad. 'One went in and one went out'.
Possibly Samipeni Finau in for Akira Ioane?
Heem/McLeod
Don't know if Heem was poor enough to drop out of both the ABs and the XV... Think it would have to be a guy who went from ABs down to the XV, so Weber, Ioane etc (or an uncapped player) are all options...

Find it hard to believe Stevenson isn't there because defensive issues. Will Jordan and Caleb Clarke say hi.
Aren't the chiefs the best defensive team?
And attack is the best form of defence.
His big boot and line breaking skills keep the other team down their end of the field.
When the fullback is left exposed on D the rest of the team have already let him down anyway.
Extremely harsh on him.

Shaun Stevenson not in the squad….That’s infuriating. I feel for the lad.
Foster opened he door to SS made it clear they rate him but he has some defensive work-on's - they want him to work with the AB's on sorting them out.
Caleb "the turnstile" Clarke says hello.

Is that the issue though? I thought it was Stevenson last week that did the beautiful fullback cover, essentially herding a break until extra support arrived?

Yeah I agree Bones. I just don't see the issue.
Catch your kicks. Kick back with interest or counter attack with venom.
A bit of corner flagging on D.
What more does Fozzie want?

He was never on my radar. Another faceless cantab indistinguishable from the other. Your Brett Camerons , your Fergus Burkes of the world.

Are there any Maori games this year?
No games announced (yet), but it wouldn't surprise me if they get one or two games in November and play teams that didn't play at the RWC like USA and Spain. They haven't skipped a year since the last RWC.
Unless, there are unannounced games against RWC squads.

Dallas McLeod...........That is a proper fucking name for an Allblack.
Damn, it should have been Connor McLeod. He would have been freakin' immortal!
But Connor is well down the halfback pecking order, playing MLR instead of SRP.

The thoughts of having Finau in there with the likes of Cane and Savea with the instructions to just "rek kunts" gives me a trouser chubby.
The first proper 6 we have selected in ages in my opinion.
He won't play and I doubt he goes to the world cup

@Stargazer That's what I dont get. I've always felt that the Maori side was almost the B side in NZ rugby. Instead now most those players just get selected into the NZ XV instead and let the Maori team rot. They should have just stuck to a maori side (the roots of nz rugby) instead of nz xv. If they want to see players in a higher position (especially non maori players) do a possibles v probables series, and super rugby is meant to be the stepping stone to the all blacks anyways, not a nz xv side. Ruins the Maori side's draw and game amounts each year.
