Blundel has become a really solid bat for us normally at 7 strengthens our batting nicely very reliable bat.
Questions were being asked last year, particularly about his keeping. But 4 (?) stumpings) in two tests is pretty good!
Yep to be fair I questioned his keeping a year ago,But he has been excellent in the last year with Bat and gloves.
He has won me over. -
ooh that was a lovely backfoot drive.

5 or 6 an over from here till stumps, then go hell for leather in the a.m. for 10 overs.
That my plan anyway ...
10 overs tomorrow seems a bit excessive. I would want to have a bowl tonight.
Not sure we can get far enough in front tonight, unless we go nuts now, and that has risks.

Not huge risks. I mean if we go for it now and lose a few wickets in a hurry we still have some pretty good batting to come that can survive for a while.
I think we should back ourselves.

Yeah I think if we declare tonight we leave ourselves short and leave too many overs for Pakistan.
Plus we will probably lose 5 overs tonight due to bad light again. -

Blundel maybe done a groin he won’t be Keeping tomorrow if he has.
And batting all he can do is stand and deliver. Two other keepers in the team.
1 and a half.
I'm not convinced about Conway's keeping.

Latham or Conway of course.

After a flurry of runs, Blundell skies one to a wide-ish mid-on.
Mitchell in now with a very settled Bracewell. We are in an interesting spot here because we don’t have enough runs to feel comfortable but time is needed to bowl these guys out again.

Commentators (Doull / Styris) absolutely slating NZ for their approach last hour. And I completely agree.
What was the point in scoring 7 runs off 30 balls at this point??
I.e ... why not do what they are doing now 30 mins ago? Only 7 runs less ...
