Very headscratching to see Slade and Tuilagi together on the bench.
Agreed
Cok injured, or a lock for the NZ match?

Japan: 15 Ryohei Yamanaka, 14 Kotaro Matsushima, 13 Dylan Riley, 12 Ryoto Nakamura, 11 Gerhard van den Heever, 10 Takuya Yamasawa, 9 Yutaka Nagare, 8 Tevita Tatafu, 7 Kazuki Himeno, 6 Michael Leitch, 5 Jack Cornelsen, 4 Warner Dearns, 3 Jiwon Gu, 2 Atsushi Sakate (captain), 1 Keita Inagaki,
Replacements: 16 Kosuke Horikoshi, 17 Craig Millar, 18 Yusuke Kizu, 19 Wimpie van der Walt, 20 Pieter Labuschagne, 21 Naoto Saito, 22 Seungsin Lee, 23 Siosaia Fifita. -
So, no lessons learned from last week then. Our best lock playing at 6, our best 6 (Willis) not in the match day squad and no bench cover for the only actual flanker (Curry) that we have. If Curry goes down injured I assume Billy V will come on and Simmonds will move to the flank. Despite Simmonds speed, that will then be very close to the slowest back row in living memory. And this against Japan with their high intensity game.
Midfield no balance again and our two most destructive backs in both attack and defence in Cokanasiga and Tuilagi are not to be seen save for a bench place for Tuilagi.
Cue more pedestrian attacking and a flat footed defence.
This has another banana skin look to it.

Two questions:

- who do we want to win?
- Poms

Sorry, when did Joseph become an arse? When he had a snarky dig at the ABs/Foster?

Here we go. England win the world cup again when they gain a scrum penalty.
Miles Harrison commentating then?

Dunno, Flats is. But I'm talking about the players. Just like last week when they won the world cup with a scrum in the first half but somehow lost the game.

Oh, that sort of shit. Just tuned in and it's Miles "England may be 20 points down with 10 minutes to go, but they know they can still win" Harrison.
I'm off to watch the Italy Wobblies game on replay.
