Distribution and vision are his strong points

I'm no greenhouse expert but you'd think some f***** could work out how to make the stadium not slippery

But conditions and outcomes changed the thinking. Despite the roof being closed in Cardiff, the heavy rain and relatively warm temperature created a degree of humidity inside the stadium and conditions were heavier and wetter than they may have appeared.slippery,β says Aaron Smith. βIt was dewy and it was warm. Everyone was dripping wet after about five minutes. There were a few dropped balls early on so everyone had to adjust.
βWe shortened up our passes and our forwards tightened up. At times we were really dominant, getting round the corner to win the collision area, deliver good cleanouts and we were breaking into the 22 a lot.β
The biggest change since Ellis Park for me has been player attitude on the field. The wild-eyed look when mistakes are made has vanished and they actually look to be enjoying themselves out there. There's more calmness when they leak a try and the discussion on what went wrong and how to fix it seems way less panicky - almost relaxed but serious.
The comparison between 2nd half of the French Test last year and this game was stark. Last year they took it up the guts to wrestle the game back but made mistake after mistake which handed momentum back to France - as they did against England at RWC2019. This time the discipline and control with the same tactics was on another level.
Still too many easy tries given away and we don't know how good we actually are until we play England, but the on-field team work and management is way, way better

@Victor-Meldrew I've been glad that Cane hasn't looked clinically depressed since the loss to Argentina.

That French team is vastly better than this Welsh team, who finished 5th with one win. Can't compare.

@Victor-Meldrew I do wonder if the biggest change is actually just quality of opposition (sorry Mike)

BTW, a reliable source has said that McLeod also had poor performance reviews last year. For some reason he has escaped scrutiny. I think it's vital that he is replaced in the off-season.
If the NZRFU were in a mood to replace Fozzie's assistants, how the hell did McLeod survive the chop?

Where's RazorWell, I agree with this post, though I'm not really sure what all that has to do with Jordies best attributes being his vision and distribution.
Let's move on I guess.
