All Blacks vs Scotland

@nostrildamus yeah, sometimes i think people mistake a purple patch of form for outright class, the former can disappear without warning and i think far fewer people actually have the latter than we might hope

@Kiwiwomble the irony is, when Laumape was available, he was rarely used, yet often the player selected to play 12, was used the way Laumape was suited to playing (going forward)
maybe they think using players in unexpected ways will keep other teams guessing

Clarke seems to be following the Bridge trajectory. Doesn't pin his ears back, lost the ability to beat a man, looks for the contact...
Looks like he goes into contact too fast At times and ends up all off balance when contact happens, like he hasn’t learnt to time the bump and hold his feet

lack of balance seems to be a recurring factor, doesn't it? I'm guessing he has a lower leg muscle imbalance or tear.

So I finally got to watch the game today.
I won't rehash any of the topics already discussed, other than to say that Scotland are a great team to watch! They just play the right way - forwards smashing into everything, skilled back play. Nothing cynical, just quality rugby. They also kept the ABs scoreless for 54 minutes, that's bloody awesome.
-
A few more random things that may or may not have been discussed:
This was the best ABs fending game in a long time! Telea with 2 goodies, and the get-off-me from JB in the final minutes was awesome.
Hogg is a tricky fucker to tackle.
Back on JB, that was some conversion to get it to an 8 point lead.
And Ardie, good god - the man may not have a defined position, but jesus does he have a motor. In the 80th minute he still looks like a super-sub who's been on for 5 minutes.

@nostrildamus yeah, reminds me of when they tried using crash ball from the blind side with bridge....its like their tactical decisions are not actually related to let alone based on the actual players they select
One crash ball by DH was spectacularly ineffective!
