Japan v All Blacks

ABs tackling at 67%

Yeah, we really are a very average side at the moment. The forwards are playing individually and not supporting the ball runner. They are good in patches but the Foster era really is headless chook stuff a lot of the time.
What is obvious is that Sam Cane is soooo off the pace it isn't funny. -

21 17 to NZ. Should be 17-14 to Japan but for some shit reffing
Or 14-14 if RM’s forward pass had been given in Ennor’s try
It was backward out of the hands, which is in the rules as not a forward pass.
Where I counted at least 2 in the passage leading up to the second Japan try, maybe 3.

They need to bin the uncontested up and unders. No shape in the forwards either. They started to take control after the Reece try and then switched to exhibition mode, letting Japan back in. Flakey, showboat, individualist rugby. Par for the course in other words.

I'm glad Mcleod is still defence coach....
Still having problems teaching his wonderful defense systems to the slow-learning backs apparently.
He lives a charmed life as a paid rugby coach, for a man who clearly contributes so little.

@Machpants cheers - bloody hell looks like japan making a good game of it
