@Victor-Meldrew Ennor will have to be on the bench as centre cover (and wing). He isn't an option at 2nd 5. If RTS doesn't start there is no point him being in the 23.
A JB at 12/BB at 15 combo has less risk than RTS at 12 - particularly if we want to keep the EP record.
Just a pity we haven't been able to blood newer players as much as we would have liked.
I don't see RTS as a risk.
And I question the need to play a 15 at 12 and a 10 at 15.
DH was a 15 at 12.

Just rewatched with more calm, and if Foster doen't put Jordie at 12 he's a fucking tool. Jordie has all the skills that Havili has, but is bigger and can actually hit the bloody line. Admitedly he needs to remember in tight to go lower than he would in backfield play, but he was bloody good.
Christie (Smith didn't run once, again), Mo'unga, CC (at least he's big & fast), Jordie, Ioane (prefer on the wing but this is where we are at), Reece, BB (he didn't fight for control bled 1)

@gt12 funnily enough Reece has played in the midfield for the ABs once and did so for Ta$man and Saders.
Once we lost our two 2nd 5s our set ups at set piece were quite interesting. Beaudie was often in that 2nd 5 position in attack. Defensively Beaudie was at the back. In phase play there was a bit of mix and match between Richie, Jordie and Beaudie on who was at 1st receiver and who was in the secondary line for the next phase.
Wasn't Reece a 12 at school?
edit: mentioned above. How are the UJs tracking? Still injured?

According to ESPN, you're wrong.
Aaron Smith did indeed make a run.
One.
For zero metres.
Now wash your mouth out with soap and apologise

@broughie which is why Christie helps make us look more dangerous when he comes on as he is a threat with the ball too, right now with Smith there, you know he will kick or pass, and you clearly see when a kick is being set up, so yeah...
Reckon Christie should be given a start this week.
-
@taniwharugby I think there’s some truth to this.
-
@taniwharugby You may be right, but I'd rather see Smith start, with Fakatava coming off the bench.

Frizell or Barrett? And pleased that Ardie is back
The other big decision looming for Foster and co-selectors Joe Schmidt and Jason Ryan will be in the loose forwards, where regular starters Ardie Savea and Shannon Frizell both return after missing the trip to Melbourne.
Savea is a certainty to step back in at No 8 where he has been so impressive this season. Less clear is whether Scott Barrett will remain at No 6 or Frizell will be restored there after performing well before picking up a rib injury in Hamilton.
Skipper Sam Cane will also have to be monitored after leaving the field in Melbourne in the first half with concussion symptoms. He later passed his HIA test, though will be further assessed when the team hits the training field in Auckland this week. Dalton Papalii looms as the most likely replacement, if required.
-
my opinion is we will be a better team with 3 locks in the 23, and an actual loose forward at 6.
-
Leota out for the Aussies. RTS more than likely starts from the bench, with Jordie starting at 12.
-
-
I dont mind Jordie getting more time in the midfield ,
Because with him, Jordan and Beaudie likely to be in the 23 , we have plenty of fullback cover ,
its nice to know he can slot back in there if required if this happens again

Swain faces the judiciary tonight.
Tupaea is likely out for two to three months, so I hope he gets a lengthy ban.
Nothing less than 6 weeks will suffice
i can't wait for teh guilty plea/good bloke reduction
totally ignoring the earlier ban for headbutting
