On form, Will Jordan gets a rest.
Or Schmidt & Foster want to give him one more chance to find form. The bounce of the ball hasn't gone his way recently and perhaps he's a confidence player

He's pretty good at super rugby.
So is Codie Taylor. So is Scott Robertson...
(Lights blue touchpaper and retires to safe distance)

But he's had low metres and high missed tackle stats a few times this year while appearing regularly in the MOTM voting.
TBF, his work rate has been bloody good though.

I can't be accused of being a fan of Frizell (or Foster) but I admit when SF came back he played well at 6. But the last games against Australia, Akira terrorized them. I'd be more inclined to play him in the first game, at least.
Frizell isn't actually capable of a performance like that
Being careful to not be seen as Frizzy-lover , cos I'm really not, but that's hardly the point. Kaino wasn't capable of that either, and he went pretty good in the 6 jumper.
I would pick anyone over Frizell. Robinson, Jacobson, Blackadder, hell even PGS at 6.
But I’ll admit in the two wins vs Boks & Argentina Frizell has been solid. Has done all the dirty work, cleans, hard carry’s that you need from a 6 when playing with Ardie. He’s also been a threat in the line outs.
Yep. You had to look hard for SF in Pumas II. He was really getting stuck into the thick of it.

OK we can let you off with a warning this time, but if you ever mention Kaino's name alongside Frizell's again that's at least a 6 month ban.

NZ TAB has the spread at 12.5 points.
Australia's depth is facing an extreme test.
If Foster can't rack up at least 50 here, he should be fired.
Nice try.
Rennie will be doing everything he can to limit damage. If that means going in with a limited game plan based entirely on spoiling he will do it.
Will be good test for our guys to think their way around the problem and an indicator of if they have got past banging their heads against a wall. I'm not confident that it won't take a full half with the thinking only coming alongside the oranges. -

Will Jordan has a horn on him a cat wouldn't scratch. Fizzing at the slit.
I expect a hat trick from the best sportsman ever to have the name Jordan.
Rip into it son with gay abandon.
Cutting Lines like he is a guest in the Chateaux Marmont.
Not sure what it means but I like it

some hyperbolic shit on this thread and it is only about 2 players in the same team lol. Personally I think they offer different strengths, SF did put in some big games recently but I still think Akira has a higher ceiling. Even the stats shared for me only show part of the story. Carries, tackles, missed tackles, metres gained cover part of it, anyone with access to find stats like number of cleanouts, successful cleanouts v penalties conceded?, someone used to track (1st 3 players to a ruck) etc, Im sure some platform would have them. Probably would put a few of the other forwards to shame knowing those numbers, but might help shape opinions more objectively including my own..

Trouble is that those stats are gathered through the opta stuff which I think comes from the player GPS. Teams wont let that detail out to other teams for good reason.

The SB selection has me scratching my head, but again, the most important thing is gameplan and execution. I'm (understandably) shit scared that they'll revert to that same cråp we've seen the past 3 years.
Maybe it's because its the Bled, but this is probably the first game this year I'm actually quite excited about.

If he plays half a game at 6 half at lock( or thereabouts ) each game with the old experienced locks getting breaks and fresh loosies coming on as things open up more ,and they think he can add extra grunt in tight early ,
I might have more understanding where they are heading with it , But if he plays maximum minutes there not so much

It will be interesting to see what happens with Ardie out. Maybe this is the right balance? I'm a fan of the big boppers starting tests, although I'd prefer Akira over SB.

I think he'll be trying for the win. Big runners trying to get behind us, quick cleans and moving the ball against the direction of a scrambling defence.
The switch in five-eighth will be for better decision making,
They'll also be acutely aware that if our pace of ball is disrupted, there goes our attack.

@antipodean he has to be doesn't he, several teams have shown we are beatable over the last few years
