RWC - if the ABs lose, which champs wouldn’t be too bad?
-
If we're going for options that aren't realistic, I pick Georgia.

Why all this love for Wales. Fuck Wales.
Scotland all the way
I don't know about anyone else, but for me it's probably because I'm Welsh

Not Ireland
God no. Imagine Sexton's face.

If NZ don’t win I’d be more than happy for France
Pedigree
Great fans
Home RWC with the last home RWC ending with a dud semifinal exit
They play good rugby -

That’s pretty flawless logic to be fair.
Apart from the Scots of course who’ve been robbed in one way or another at every tournament so far of nations who have a chance of actually winning I’d have to go Ireland ( if Sexton has retired ) Wales, Argentina, France, SA, Oz and England in that order…..still last but after the hammering in 2019 I actually found them to be ok, I don’t even recall any gloating Stephen Jones articles.

late to the party but i'd jump on the France bandwagon
unlike lots though i wouldn't mind Aussie, would be good to build some more interest leading up the the next world cup, i have been lucky in that all the aussie i know either dont care about rugby....even if they win....or if they do care they know enough to not be too much of a dick

I've got an Aussie mate who is tiresome when the ABs lose. Lucky for us he's going through a divorce and is on Tinder and Bumble so he's been too preoccupied to be as much as a pain as he usually would be.

and England.
No problem with England as far as the genuine rugby supporters are concerned. Actually be happy for them
It's the inevitable fair-weather "fans" and triumphalist "This is the Greatest Rugby Team Ever" media which makes it a no-no for me.
Most of us find that stuff as nauseating as you do.
France deserve a win and yeah all the Frogs I’ve ever met through rugby have been good blokes.

Yep. It's frustrating to have to continuously explain basic stuff to normally intelligent people. I bet the players find it equally nauseating as well.
Think France will win the thing and wouldn't have a problem with that.

Wales v NZ Final
Wales to win for the first time in 70 years
The stuff of dreams
And delusion
..delusion being NZ in the final (as seen from this moment in time)...but in 2023 the learning afterburners will kick in..

Not Australia!
Or England.
France will win it anyway methinks.
We won't at any rate!
I think I recall Stephen Jones asking that the 2007 RWC be called off because it was such a foregone conclusion.
I wish they had.
We won't be favourites under Fozzie, but I'm far from thinking it's a lost cause.
