Mitchell gone. We did not need that. Need a decent partnership.
Latham in. Time for some runs.
Amen. Didn't need to take that risk, we have a pretty short tail with Santa at 8(?)

Think he's at 7, with Milne, Henry, Southee, and Ferg to follow. We seem to be very much a 5-out is all out team in white ball cricket so far this summer...

What is Latham doing???
I couldn’t think of a worse batting partnership for us in the situation we are in

With Kane we always get behind the run rate early. He slows his partners down by not turning over the strike and then catches up later. He is a hard watch.
Nah, I disagree. He knows how to time an ODI innings perfectly, it's T20 where he puts pressure on the rest of the order. This game has plenty of time left and if Williamson sticks around another 10-15 overs we should win it.

Run rate at 7.5 and climbing quickly 24 overs in
Yeah but it's Eden Park. When I played for the 3rd form D team we played with bigger boundaries.
only straight. The side boudnaries are full size

Agreed. He is a great ODI and test player.
KW is timing this well. He does need to go on with it though.

Know what you are saying. It’s the pressure at the other end I worry about. He is good enough to accelerate, mostly.

Kane should stick to ODI and test cricket. He is a liability in T20 but I'm sure he wants to keep putting himself in the shop window for the big cash tourneys by keeping on with T20

I have often thought with reviews why they don't go straight to the obvious contention. This one for example, the question was always going to be if it pitched outside leg yet we had to sit through everything else until they got to that part.

I don’t like that because whilst it’s far from perfect, at least there is a consistent approach each and every occasion.

I also think it takes a while for the ball tracking to be teed up, so they look at the bat issue first.

Yeah I get that but it's hardly a complicated procedure. They can go straight to the obvious question and if that doesn't give an answer then they can follow their check list from there to keep the OCD happy.
