So India humming along at 95/0 after 20.2 and looking pretty comfortable

... and yet we're ranked No 1 in ODI cricket. Go figure.

Pickup up Gill which is good, but they look untroubled

I am not convinced about Finn Allan. I think we have discarded Martin Guptill a year early.

Nah Guptill is mud now, he’s been that way for the last few years. Allen will be fine, he just needs to find his feet at this level. Let’s remember he’s still 23 so the more time in the middle the better for the young lad.

Mixed feelings, I think Guptill's exit is timed about right for his form... I'm just not sure if Allen is ready yet as a replacement though...

Apart from maybe Conway, Allen has been the form domestic player for a few years now. He’s fully deserved his selection into the Black Caps white ball sides, just needs to play himself into some form.

Mitchell gone. We did not need that. Need a decent partnership.

Latham in. Time for some runs.

Amen. Didn't need to take that risk, we have a pretty short tail with Santa at 8(?)

With Kane we always get behind the run rate early. He slows his partners down by not turning over the strike and then catches up later. He is a hard watch.

Think he's at 7, with Milne, Henry, Southee, and Ferg to follow. We seem to be very much a 5-out is all out team in white ball cricket so far this summer...

Go Kane. Hope he can keep it together for another 20 overs?

Yeah but it's Eden Park. When I played for the 3rd form D team we played with bigger boundaries.

Nah, I disagree. He knows how to time an ODI innings perfectly, it's T20 where he puts pressure on the rest of the order. This game has plenty of time left and if Williamson sticks around another 10-15 overs we should win it.

Agreed. He is a great ODI and test player.

KW is timing this well. He does need to go on with it though.

Know what you are saying. It’s the pressure at the other end I worry about. He is good enough to accelerate, mostly.

Kane should stick to ODI and test cricket. He is a liability in T20 but I'm sure he wants to keep putting himself in the shop window for the big cash tourneys by keeping on with T20
