Looks like a midweek team on tour , well the pack does anyway
Not many alternatives when it comes to experience given Moody, Nepo, Karl T and Ofa aren’t available for for the front row. Retallick is out injured. Not much difference in experience between Ioane and Frizell.

Props that struggle at scrum time. Locks that have been playing undisciplined (neck roll for Whitelock). Frizzel has never played well at Test level against the good sides. Cane hopelessly out of form and his injuries have caught up with him.
Ardie playing in a position that’s keeping a potential star at Test level out instead of at seven where his size is much more suited.
Smith is in a slump.
Ritchie is the backs version of Frizzel, and a poor defender. Havilli is also playing terribly, just like last year.
RI is trying too much (when the ball makes it that far). Jordan is off the back of a poor Test by his standards and has the flu, and JB is not adding anything but good goalkicking.
Fuck me days.

@chimoaus was reading we have won 36 out of 37 Tests when Beaudys on the bench🙂 but this is the 2022 all blacks so i must expect another loss on the cards😔
The one loss was against the Aussies back in 2015 prior the RWC.
And I’m pretty certain it was a famous victory for the Wallabies too.

But a lot of differences in ability.

RM is a good defender, no?
Smith is in a slump because of the game plan. If we could get Will Genia out of retirement that would be grand. Smith needs to snipe. Either pass left or pass right, direct into De Allende and Am.

They're stuck with Rieko as no one obvious who isn't crocked.
Malherbe with Etzabeth behind him is one big challenge. Want the best scrummaging LH on board. Do they think De Groot is it? Playing well against Koch, who is B grade, with Mostert having replaced De Jager at lock, isn't remotely the same.

Selectors were Schmidt and Foster, with input (I imagine in particular for forwards) from coaches.
Coles and Ta'avao dropped. Other front row changes would have heavily to reflect Feek and Ryan view, so have to back their judgement.
Backs will heavily involve Joe input, and given his Blues experience he'd know what RTS and Perofeta could have brought, and Rieko's strengths and weaknesses. Feel Reece is unlucky.
Likewise, Joe will have inputted detailed analysis on Boks/AB work at breakdown. Given he's very familiar with Paps, Sotutu and Akira, the non-selection of first two must be something he's down with.
Scooter is seen as third best lock, so with BBBR out he's at 5. Clear wish (which I agree with) to have blunt instrument at 6, and options were Vaa'i, Frizell or (maybe) Patty T. Not that surprising they went for Frizell, given desirability of having a lock on bench.
What will be intriguing is how they change back five of pack at say 50. For example, Vaa'i on at lock, Akira at 8 and Ardie to 7. Or even Akira to 8, Ardie to 7 and choose later on between Vaa'i to 5, or 6.

@Frye What a negative prick you are.
How about this. Frizzell gets a red. Cane replaced by Ioane with 7 to go. Scooter gets subbed for Vaai around the same time.
Taukieaho gets subbed at halftime with Bower coming on at 50 and Newell at 77.

Barrett comes on at 10 with Mounga to fullback and Jordie to the wing. Tupaea comes on at 12 with Havili shifting to 13. Christie gets 30 minutes.
Everything points to Tupea going to 13 if Davey stays on, unfortunately.
I've found it hard to follow who's been where in last 20 minutes of last three games!

Lol, no.
Has to be hidden out of the front line, often missed tackles. Same as Havilli
