You know - we are playing average, we've not had the rub of the ref's calls, and yet we're only down 7. I'll take that.
A different TH and the Boks would’ve had a lot less ball
Tight five still not clearing out as much as I’d like. Seems there still seems to be a moment of indecision before hitting a ruck or getting into position for the next phase. It slows everything down
Hopefully we smash around the fringes straight after halftime

We're not doing that badly out there. Our attack is still a bit disjointed but the forwards are working very hard despite the usual criticism's.
i can see some of the attack structure and it’s better, just our execution is off.
Even when we’ve had good ball both Smith and Beaudie have been careless.

A lot of play has broken down around smith and Barrett.

Reiko and Caleb caught watching in poor positions in that high kick that led to the try. I thought it was a knock on though.

Yeah I'm surprised they didn't check to make sure SA player didn't touch it

Some better stuff at set piece and defence. On attack however I’m confused and the players also look confused. A number of times with fast ball we lacked guys in right position or who seemed surprised to receive it. We look good when running hard close to Ruck, we seem to get over advantage line. Too often we get to shape and look to shift making us easy prey for rush. I think that’s difference between us and others - they go wide only when it’s a chance, we just go as a matter of fact. The one time we did create space Havilli drops it! Tough old game. As Like to see Clarke n Jordan off wings looking for work.

Yeah I was wondering about the knock on at the time, especially when the broadcaster did not show too many, if any, replays of the jump for the ball.

Since Cane Is MIA would the coaches be smart enough to bring on another loosie? Or would that be an admission that Cane was the wrong choice in the first place.
He's not even playing that bad. Sure he's not in the refs ear about all the bullshit happening but he's playing fine.

Foster has the attack job now so am not surprised they are confused.

So we got no change from the ref for the first 30mins, and a lot of SAs penalties were scrum penalties which were not exactly convincing calls from Angus. That gave them a BIG leg up. We then worked our way back into the game after that.
On attack ST and Akira have been strong with ball in hand, but we are firing it to them 1 or 2 wide out from the ruck which leaves us open to turnovers when they make ground. We need to use them close in around the ruck with 2 forwards in tail to clean out and give us quick ball. We do that then Beauden and the backline will have a shit load more space.

The thing with Cane these days is that he only plays one end - if he puts a couple of decent shots on amd wins a breakdown penalty then we say he's had a great game. But whatever happened to providing some link play, a couple of carries up the middle, heck, even beating a guy?

@broughie Feel like I'm watching a different game. He's working hard out there cleaning out rucks and rolling his sleeves up on defence.
There's just no pleasing some people on here lol. People criticising the same people unfairly because they want there local boys out there, be honest guys, deep down some of you guys want us to lose haha.
Come on boys!
