“In attack, the depth with which the All Blacks are trying to play sets them up to struggle against the best rush defences"

That one I disagree with. A good attack from depth with different angles etc is a good tactic against rush D. The outside of the rush can have to stop dead so as not to create a gap in the line for an angled runner to exploit. We just aren't executing well partly due to getting slow ball.

We just aren't using angles and dummy runners now though. Just a pod or individual to bash it up, repeat a few times and kick or lose possession in a ruck. The Irish showed us how to unlock a defense, but we are poorly coached to implement a game plan that works.

FFS guys, we all get (thousands of posts later) that we are poorly coached. Saying the same thing over and over doesn't change that. What I'm more interested in is what we should be doing/ what players are missing or playing well type discussions that are at least interesting.
At the moment this board is getting to be like that boring workmate that corners you at a function and starts a conversation with 'I reckon that Foster guy is a useless coach'

You could just not read those posts.......

This negativity around the All Blacks supporters make me worry. The real supporter will stick behind his team when the going gets tough. The Springbokke ain't good with the favourites tag. It's test day and hopefully a day to appreciate the real rugby rivalry between the two greatest rugby nations. Understand that even Ramaphosa will attend this great test.

@OomPB we're sticking with them. We can just see bad rugby when it's happening.

@OomPB we still support them, just frustrates us no end the fact that fans can see how disorganised and predictable they are, yet our coach is clearly out of his depth and showing zero signs of improvement.

@taniwharugby Boet we had Piet Snor and Allister Coetzee and even now the Springboks play an ugly dull brand of rugby. Can't blame the coaching for everything.

@OomPB I think alot of what is wrong right now, is on the coaching, maybe not all on Foster, but our defence is rubbish, our attack is impotent and even our counter, broken field stuff is poor right now, so many of the errors, IMO come back to players lacking in confidence or belief in themselves and one another, lack of clarity...surely you can see how dysfunctional they are, on both sides of the ball...you still played some good code under those coaches, we have played pretty poorly most of the time under this coaching regime, just an unstructured mess hoping a moment from Beaudy or Ardie or Reece or Jordan will be enough.

I think this team can still beat the Bokke, but do we have the gameplan and structure to beat them, that is another thing.

@taniwharugby I mean it's pretty obvious it is. Just look at the Maori vs Ireland....we have the players and even coaches who know what they're doing.

@taniwharugby the tight 5 really worry me, and they are close to the best we've got.

Coaching will struggle to fix that in the short term

How should I feel about a crap All Blacks side?

How should I feel about a crap All Blacks side?

But every hero needs a villain and the All Blacks, those monsters under the bed who’d snatch me away in the night...

@nzzp for me, it is our front row that is more concern, ST will hopefully provide a bit of spark, Bower seems to be growing into his role, AT, well, he is the best we got right now...

I think our locks have suffered due to the lack of work the front row has done for large parts the past 2 years or so, then the back row, less of an issue, but still a bit of imbalance the way we are using them.

Caleb Clarke vs Arendse should be interesting to watch. 30 kgs (at least) of weight difference between the two. I guess the ABs will try to provide a few munitions to Caleb Clarke to test Arendse's defense.

Shit, 140kg or so is downright fat for a winger

15 point or more win for the Boks will see ABs drop to 5th on the rankings, below England. 😳

Boks can't get above France if they win, irrespective of the margin.

Youngest kid has asked to watch the game live for the first time. Alarm now set for 12:50am to allow time to make the Milo before kick-off.

    Can't wait.

    @OomPB

They are going to be crying piss in about 6 hours.

The best ever sportsman named Jordan is in town and he is going to be cutting lines like Keith Richards.

Their outhalf will be in the sheds after 5 minutes answering doctors questions such as "what is your mothers maiden name Handre?".

12 day stand down. Do not pass go. Do not collect 200 dollars.

    Allblacks by 25.
