Foster, Robertson etc

I knew Fozzie would come through, always had faith in him..what an amazing coach š
So NZR..where to from here?
-
Surely Foster has to go. Once the glow of this performance wears off, we will be back in the shite soon enough if he stays.
-
Not a great look for NZR though. I doubt Foster was lying when asked if he would still be coach in two weeks with his āI donāt knowā comment. That shows that he wasnāt set a clear target to keep his job and NZR have been clearly working behind the scenes on a preset decision without telling him.

Plusses
Brought back SF when no one else wanted him
seemed to pay off yesterdayQuestion
Chose Jason Ryan (or forced on him?)Negatives
Seemed reluctant to bring back ST, EdG
Many positional swaps, slow to select new players, try out other 6s or new props
Thought Jordie would be a good winger
Not playing Reece much who has been arguably our best winger
Chose injury plagued Sam Cane as captain and arguably not best in his position
General games slide apart from yesterday
Playing DH against big physical sides until his confidence gone (exception: yesterday)
Questionable kicking tactics
Often bad bench timing
Very slow to react to changing opponent tactics -
Timing would be fucking awful for team morale too. They all have to travel back together with a guy they have clearly thrown support behind. Will have some players worried about their own job too.
I donāt mind a change but think it is important to manage it well, possibly with an agreed transition. -

Sacking a guy they clearly responded to within 24 hours of a stirring win is a very dangerous move and will require some top draw man management.

@mariner4life tbf, we don't know what has gone on to spark this...maybe Fozzie, maybe Cane, maybe Ryan's influence, maybe the SA players read all the articles saying how shit we were and awesome they were, who knows, guess we will never know.
All we do know is they have responded to all the shit as best they could, but why didn't they last week, been alot of shit flying thier way before that.
-
I still hope he is gone.
Players might be a bit bummed, but you have to have the best coaches available.
Jason Ryan has made a huge difference - imoAnd thereās nothing to stop him continuing to do so.
As far as we know it was also Foster that wanted the change from Plumtree. -
Changes nothing IMHO. It simply highlights the fact that we have the necessary cattle and that this epic shitshow can be turned around in record time with the right people in charge.

I donāt know what went down and I guess we wonāt until Fosters best selling book but giving a good reference so as not to destroy a career isnāt unusual
