Foster, Robertson etc

We were up against a crowd who were so joyous and having fun. ABs were nervous, consigned to the fact they were going to be criticised. I don't care if they lose again this year. I want them to free up and have some fun
I thought the Bok crowd was fantastic! Great PR for the sport, I'd love to take part in that sort of atmosphere!
(That was one of only two good things for me, the other is that our fwds coach looks to be an improvement esp given he is working with arguably not the best props NZ could muster-where is the bring back Owen campaign?!)

"Five defeats in the last six tests is the statistic that will loom largest in many people's minds, as coach Ian Foster looks to cling to his job."
Are they counting the Irish match during which Foster was in isolation?! That was the best team performance of the year and Joe Schmidt was coaching with 24 hours of prep!

@nostrildamus zoom is good for coaching!

I was a big fan of the Muppet Show as a kid .. perhaps we'd appreciate Foster more if he said Waka Waka Waka after every "best performance this year" sentence?

This hurts my eyes for a couple of reasons
-
@taniwharugby They need to update that with another LOSE.

All I’ll say about this is that Steinlager is a lovely drop on an EXTREMELY hot day when there’s no other beer alternatives.

I imagine it is also fine for people with COVID in a dark room who have lost their sense of taste.
NZR need a better beer sponsor. We aren't going to win with such questionable taste! -

And so long as it is chilled almost to the point it has icicles in it.

It's a seriously good beer. Joe Wood of Liberty famously serves it to guests who don't realise it isn't Craft
I really like the classic. -
All it needs now is Hansen to stick his nose in and say "Foster is a great coach".
-
@Billy-Tell Or Henry to say we shouldn't criticize Foster.
-
@Billy-Tell well Hansen has already, not sure if he will stick his oar in again...Henry is surely regretting his decision now?
Surprised the media havent gone for comment from him TBH...
-
This is what happens when you don’t take objective things like onfield success and choose foster based on an interview.
The way things are going the Eden park hoodoo and the bledisloe are up for grabs.
I see foster saying it’s the best we played all year. Sums it all up really.

@Billy-Tell Scotland and Wales on EOYT, more records to break...

The Jocks will be rubbing their hands together

If Foster tells the players to play with pride in the jersey, but he has less pride in AB rugby, is only selfishly looking at his contract, while leading loss after loss, then the players will not trust his words and ideas.
The responsible thing would have been for him to resign after the Irish lost series. Over the years, he must have saved a heap of money. Forcing the NZRU to come up with extra money to buy out his contract, while watching the AB record going down the drain must be very stressful if he has a normal conscience.

If (when) foster goes I would let the new coach start on the NH tour.
I’d go interim coach or even player/coach. Such a mess.
