Foster, Robertson etc

@Stargazer although weren't there rumours he had tried to get some others on his team too, such as Brown?
-
@taniwharugby Who's "he" in your post?
-
@Stargazer Foster.
-
Interestingly, Schmidt hired plumtree during his Ireland tenure.
They should have made all these changes at the end of 2021.
Better make a difference fast, donβt want the Eden park hoodoo and the bled going either.

Edit: if you click on the article, the real title of it is: "Scott Robertson reveals Tony Brown turndown"
Edit 2: Foster seems to have approached him as well, according to this article in the Ferald:

Foster (Chiefs)
McLeod (Chiefs)
Cane (Chiefs)Mark Robinson: "No, you're not getting fucking John Mitchell!"
..with his 82% AB coaching record Foster might feel a tad threatened.
Mitchell: Record: 28 tests, 23 wins, 1 draw, 4 losses. Gee, he lost every seventh test. What I'd give for that at the moment. -
@nostrildamus John Mitchell was a defence coach for England in the last World Cup. Been tipping him for a role with the Abs when they take on England. Would really like to see Wayne Smith brought in.

I'd really like to know what the problem with Feek was. The scrum has been solid since he took over, and certainly no worse than under Cron. Ryan taking over the forwards has to be a huge improvement.
Did I miss something? Thought it was just Moar and Plumtree who've been arsed.

@Higgins Feek is still there. Just rumours that he reviewed poorly.
Ah. Thought so.
-
@Stargazer sorry I was pointing at that in response to that tweet saying Fozzie won the appointment on the strength of his team, which probably wasn't his first choice team.

Oh and when Foster said he was strategic I thought immediately, ah, he is dropping the assistant coaches to save himself.
Didn't post it though so you'll just have to believe (or disbelieve) my inner sauce. Seems loyalty only goes so far. Anyway, a good press question for Foster, if he is 'strategic' couldn't he have been 'strategic' when he assembled his team to start with? Or does 'strategic' not necessarily mean good or bad strategy?Foster can do no right huh?
Bends over backwards to remain loyal for as long as he can, probably too long. Is too loyal.
Eventually pulls the pin, and he's now "thrown them under the bus"*.- as heard from James McOnie this arvo on ZB.

Wouldn't object strangely

You have a point. Foster can't win. And I don't think I ever said Foster was too loyal. My beef is that Foster can't win. Literally!
What worries me, if anything, the assistants let go had as strong a record or better than he did. Not clear to me that they are more responsible for team strategy than Foster. -
The problem lies with the whole coaching strategy of continuation from the good ole days of the Henry/Hansen era. Foster only knows that era and what we are seeing is a very stagnant team.
Ryan comes in, and maybe a few others that would have made an awesome team under a whole new philosophy. I fear the old regime is still going to stink out the bus and the rot continues. The NZR could actually be fucking it up even more by this half-arsed approach. -
I hope Ryan is allowed to make actual changes to how the tight five play. I also hope if he has a say in selection he rises above provincial bias because Taylor desperately needs to be dropped.
Also, if Moat was responsible for the shithouse attack, hopefully Foster can make a positive change here too.
I think not, obviously, so hopefully they are looking some out sense quickly.
