Chiefs 2023

Stevenson to the NRL?
While he has looked consistently handy recently, I would hardly describe him as a marquee signing like the article does. Hardly anyone will know who he is. They are not going to get excited over signing a player who is in and out of a Super Team.

it was mentioned in the Southland v NH match thread by @Nogusta on the weekend and he usually has good sauce!

Does this mean MSR is a replacement for Brown...meaning Ah Kuoi can slot into the role Brown filled...6/Lock, he has done that well for BOP this season
Good call. Interesting for MSR to pick Chiefs though given the second row numbers there already. Maybe they all know something about time management for BBBR in the RWC year?

Can't stand MSR. Dude is a disgrace.
I personally thought he should have received a far bigger punishment for his crime.
However, he’s allowed to play professional rugby and is a good player and I’d like the Chiefs to have good players.
Scruples schmuples.

Hallelujah some Chiefs signing news

Ah Kuoi, BBBR and Vaa'i are all locked in for next year. If the rumours of MSR are true who misses out from McWhannell and Lord?
I can see the point of MSR taking BBBRs spot in the roster from 2024 but cant see them carrying 6 locks next year to make it happen.
McWhannell is too good to not play Super so where does he go? -
I hope McWhannell isn't going anywhere, but the Blues wouldn't say no.
I don't think that Ah Kuoi will be considered as a frontline lock in the future, more a 6 who can play lock. The Chiefs need to keep the players they've got because you seldom get them back.
PGS's future might make things a little clearer, if he asks for an early release.
McMillan has talked about having better squad balance for 2023. To me, that applies to the loose forwards and outside backs.
