SF Crusaders v Chiefs

Chiefs need a back 3 with higher work rate and game smarts next year. They pose almost no threat when ball gets kicked to them or passed out wide and rarely feature in kick chases. My feeling is that is why other teams can force so many errors on Chiefs attack and defence... because they don't have a strike player with anticipation and speed. So defenders only have to cover the options in the centre of the park.
Must be gutting for the front row after their huge performance tonight. We did know all of this at the start of the season. Going any further than we did depended on Ioane being the AB candidate he was once and for three of the back three options to play better than they ever had before.
Glaring weaknesses right from the squad selection but there’s only so many of those guys in the game and we didn’t manage to get any of them. -
Meh. Well done Sith.
Great D.
Dumb attack by Chiefies.
Some calls early marginally in Sith's favour (QT YC could have gone penalty only, Matera could have gone Red ... btw second YC was straight red ... but little difference). And a couple of others I can't remember.
What the FUCK was PGS doing when he did everything he could not to score? Fucking seriously.
Otherwise hats off to the Saders.

@Frye fucked

I also expect all those Saders posters that declared QT a cock last week to chime in on what a bigger cock Reece is
No need. You won the argument last week - nothing wrong with a bit of niggle 😀
But in all seriousness, it was a acknowledged last week that Reece can be a cock with the niggle too.

Expected result. Crusaders are going to Sade.
Joane has been a bust and isn’t worth re-signing. I thought it was a good idea, but I was 100% wrong.
Without Dmac back at 10, we’ll be fighting for 3rd best NZ team again next year. Gatland isn’t good enough to win Super rugby.
Our back three is a fucking mess and needs a significant overhaul.
I cant be fucked writing a long enough article for a year review but:
- props are getting better although we might need a new TH
- lock is a position of strength
- loosies are useful but we rely on PGS not doing dumb things, hopefully Finau will continue to develop
- halfback needs some decisions, Weber is no longer a running threat
- first five needs Dmac then to develop Reihana or another option
- midfield could be good, however QT looks average without ALB, losing Sullivan has proven to be a bad move, but hopefully Wrampling will develop.
- wings are average, Lowe is our best but we need better quality, I’d move a few of them along
- we need a quality fullback and a couple of players (apart from 10) who can help with the kicking game.
I doubt we’ll cut loose the shit BOP outsides so if we get Dmac back we’ll likely stay the 3rd/4th best NZ side, so another semifinal exit would be a good achievement.

QT does not look to be much more than a bash merchant with a not particularly good passing game.
And is he that great at bashing?

Really hope that the SH dumbfuckery and dirty cuntery at the tackle continues in the June Tests.
NH might have a chance.
Reds are old school I believe. Down a man for the duration

Niggle stops at the final whistle.
Reece doesn’t.Maybe he wants to rub in that he could have been playing for the opposition if he hadnt shit that bed.

Must say I disagree.

Fuck me that defence, ABs take notice please
Razor's coaching of defensive ruck work & the breakdown in general is second to none, the Crusaders actions without the ball on defense is one of the main reasons I wanted him as All Black coach after Hansen departed in 2019.
Wayne Smith was our latest defensive guru in NZ's golden run between 2010-2016 & ever since then we've been lacking an effective brickwall defense along with innovative ruck & breakdown play - these are both areas that Razor has outstanding knowledge & expertise in. Ray is the man to lead us back to WC glory.

At least one person got the double-entendre.

Big credit also to the crusaders defensive coach Tamati Ellison, He has brought a hardness to the D line.

For a guy so big, Takei'aho's motor is something else. He's just into everything.
My MoM. I know sod-all about front-row stuff, but he looks the real deal around the field.
