Rebels v Chiefs

And McMillan confirms there is some rotation in team selection. Retallick is back training so likely to return next weekend.
“There’s just a need to give some guys some minutes to try get our whole squad to a place where we’re fit and firing for a quarterfinal,”
That logic works well for me. So many injuries creating so many chances for player development.

ENS is out. Replaced by Tiatia
-
OK talking shit now... 1st TJ is our second best half, and now Josh Ione a smokey for the all Blacks..
-
These forwards need to improve their no look passes, seem many are going to ground recently.
-
Chiefs handling like a rugby ball is new to them.

Rebels have been really aggressive on D and borderline offside but working well.
-
Amazing a side could defend for phases and not get penalised.
-
@chimoaus and they are often well behind the advantage line and the man taking it is static or crabbing.
-
Rebels have started well. Chiefs struggling for territory. A bit like how the Canes started.
-
just tuning in and I see it's a bay of plenty back three for the chiefs

It's very refreshing. NZ teams give away far too many penalties for stupid things while defending.
-
Boring
-
Rebels still struggle to create space. They’re better than the start of the year now they have some of the big runners in the forwards back.. but their attack still looks like the worst in the comp
-
I have to say having a player that can kick well and get you to half way on exit is so important in today's game. Such a disadvantage when you can't exit your own half.
-
Lovely forward interplay by Rebels. Chiefs are running on 3 cylinders at the moment.
-
Stupid by Cane, Chiefs have just been off for sometime, hard to pinpoint exactly what it is.
-
Chiefs lucky to only be behind by 3 at this stage.
-
Rebels score a try but the referee doesn't want a bar of it.
-
@Damo yeah odd he didn't even want to have a look at it.
-
WTF, who is the skills coach if the Chiefs.
-
So often they are taking the ball static or one step into a run, no pace at all
-
Nice break by JI but Weber pushed the pass.
-
What is up with these chiefs offloads?
-
How do they fuck that up
-
Jesus Weber...
-
Eh? It wasn't Weber's fault; the pass was too short.
-
Can Smith play 80 for the ABs?

The pass to no one with the knock on?
-
Finally. Jacobson in.
-
Chiefs in after some good grunt work. ST lots of touches already, hard to ignore for ABs.

Chiefs watch Rebels monster them inside with run ups, so give the ball to ST standing still.

Looked like a try on first viewing, and on each subsequent viewing it looked better and better.
Surprised the TMO didn't get in his ear.
-
See those Waikato undies, true Waikato man through and through.
-
Locks for the Chiefs playing well.
-
Ah Kuoi has been immense early.
-
Tiatia please fuck off back to the Canes
-
Fuck JI needed to work on his line kicking whilst injured.
-
Wtf? Ioane caught Hunt disease before he left the Landers? Making ten metres on PK's, but kicking it higher than the stand roof.
-
Chiefs hitting some passes at pace now and look at the gains.

They have had lots of penalties and possession which has helped. Cut out the errors and build phases, pretty simple.
