Just feels like Groundhog Day doesn't it? I remain amazed that WR are still too incompetent to seed a year out of the tournament.
TBH apart from the ability to ride the coattails of diplomatic hobnobbing, I really don't care about the RWC anymore. By 2019 I was hoping the All Blacks would do a threepeat so every other country would divert their energy to Making Tests Great Again.

@booboo I have a nantes story. Was on way from London to Nantes for AB test but driver forgot the paperwork and we had to return home. AB fullbacks dad was in our party organised by London NZ rfc.. . Horrible! Buck did not enjoy Nantes either if I recall right.

Suspect the person whose outdated here is Crowley. Does anybody not put France as favourites?
Although having said that, most on here are 40+ now ... It's fair to say that I probably fell into that trap a bit when I was in my early 20's.

Fuck no, I'd been living in the UK dealing with the ABs fucking up every RWC since 87, there is no way I was putting them as anything but an outside chance

@machpants I think the worst was '99 - I remember walking outside into Manners Mall the next day and it was dead, everything seemed grey, it was like Welly had gone back in time ten years to when it was a horrible hole.
