Can't blame ardie, he just did as ordered by coaches.

He's still the captain on the field.

I thought there was a crusader just lying at the back of that ruck who must have come across the line of touch to get there and made no effort to get out of the way.

You're not the only one. It was obvious to me.

Glad I wasn't alone. Not a single replay of it for some reason.

Ardie very unhappy in post match interview. He's normally pretty classy so that means he saw something.

Howden looked promising. O'Reilly carried well.

Would like to see more of Barrett at 12.

Those that came out of this fixture with their reputations tarnished:

    • Kirifi
    • Scrafton
    • Bridge.
    • Pickerill.

    So Bridge played well then?

Quit whining Aridie, you're a great player but an absolute rubbish captain.

Take Ardie and Jordie out of this team and they'll struggle (Fatty doesn't play this well every week).

The problem with nailing on Jordie as 12 for the ABs after this match is that he seemed to be floating all over the field, which is not what the ABs need.

@tim I agree. What else do we have? Havilli is underwhelming. Jordie is rugged and direct and could fill the role. He has to be on the field somewhere and Jordan could be FB although the Canes shut him down.

Should have given Kereru-Symes game time. He can throw.

@nepia Yes but he wants to be involved. Without he play the cane would have been swamped. In a AB enviroment, at least with a different coach, he would not have to wear as many hats could play his position. Even Ardie could play a more robust 2nd five than Havilli.

Canes could have won that if they started Prinsep over kirifi...

    Or CJ over proctor...

    @chris

    Still got the W though.

It will be interesting to see who gets the home semifinals.

@chris really if you had a smarter team playing you would have lost. The Crusader mistique of old is lost.

Yeah we did if we get our game together we will be hard to beat.
    Crusaders ,Blues/Chiefs I think.
I can’t see the Brumbies or Reds winning enough games against the Nz teams to stay in the top 2.

Maybe but winning ugly still keeps you on top.

I really can't see the crusaders getting the same "luck" under non kiwi refs...
