Highlanders vs Canes
-
Fekitoa was awesome, insanely strong. No Nonu or Conrad but fuck we have some talent still.
-

Really enjoyed that.

Hayden Parker the new Suoer Sub!

The Smiths, and Fekitoa made the difference.

What's with the Canes TO.s? Need to look after the ball.

Liked the Canes operate with two sweepers - BB dropping back and interchanging a fair bit.
-

If Fozzie can get him to pass, we're on to a real winner there
-
Shocker...from tmo. Thought hometown Jackson wasn't bad at all.

Stoked for the win and jj maintains the faith (deservedly so ) in his bench. -
So we agree fekitoa a specialist 13, or a 13 > 12??

Good win in the end Matt - and it was supposedly "hot" in Dunners. We had a hot day there once 30 years ago - couches and crates on the footpath, bliss

Tough opening fortnight draw for the canes
-

Meh, I didn't see the ball grounded against the base of the post. The question asked was try or no try. I saw the ball placed against the post, bodies got in the way and then Savea had it. If someone wants to post me a still and prove me wrong, they can.

Why would they? You seem to have made up your mind.

I saw a clear replay that showed the point of the ball on the ground. Was an absolute shocker of a TMO decision. -

Highlanders deserved that, Fekitoa 100% scored.

Fekitoa was good, and I have to say Ardie Savea was also very good today.

Not absolutely convinced he scored, I saw the ball hit that pad, also looked like the ball was on ground before it got ripped back by Canes, but the laws state the ball has to touch the pad and ground at same time, did anyone see that?? I suspect not so may of been correct call!
-

Agree hydro, think perhaps a few internet warriors don't know rules, perhaps they need to not take Justin's word for it!!
-

They sure have... but next few games leading to the bye are a bit easier.

I remember a day like that 20yrs ago.... -

The question asked of the tmo is also important -

I think he's a bit underrated. Given their current resources, I think I'd have him out there in the midfield or at 15.

Say what? Has he ever even played in the midfield? He's looked good at times, but how stupid do you have to be to decide to kick the ball away when you're down on the scoreboard with time basically up... -

At this point in time , im leaning towards a Crotty Fekitoa midfield , but could end up changing my mind before it matters
-

Yep, I think that would be ok, but I leaning towards Nagatai/Fekitoa,
-
Pretty sure he's played in midfield a bit (definitely at the Rebels, and I'm sure at ITM cup) although he is better at 15 - which is probably where I'd have had him.

Luckily, I'm no selector though, cos he should be taken out back and slapped around for kicking that:)
