I go back to the stupid Nock intercept pass at 32-21 which gave the ball back to the canes which changed the whole thing. Fucken stupid pass to a guy standing in our backline.
Good comeback Canes but we should have closed the fucker out (Nock, I'm looking at you).
Yeah as a Nock fan he was terrible. He's done that before coming off the bench too. Very very loose.
That’s just rubbish. Two tries in 5 minutes is why they lost. Nothing else.
They subbed Clarke and Tele’a rushes off his wing and leaves Rayasi unmarked. Man that was such a poor decision.
RTS gets palmed off at half way and they score.
That’s why the Blues lost.

@kiwimurph allgood, I make those statements all the time.
To be fair, from memory he stopped the Blues from scoring in the first few minutes of the game which can now be seen as a big moment also.
Big players stand up in big moments and that’s what makes him so bloody good.
Defs should be playing 7. Iose should be starting 8 with Flanders at 6.

Closing backline for the Canes was so potent. Thought Holland may have hoped to run blues off their feet at the end with lack of matchplay fitness.
Great to see Bailyn Sullivan so influential and the big turnaround with the half back substitutions. And Iose needs to start for the Canes.
Felt sorry for Goodhue after his whale of a game and RTS and Telea were very sharp.

Great comeback from the Canes. It can't be a coincidence it started when two Magpies were brought on.
I wonder if the lack of game time counted against the Blues at the end?
Funny different things can be for players when they move teams. Lowe couldn't make a reserve bench at the Canes and goes to the Chiefs and becomes a regular starter, and the Sullivan comes from the Chiefs and has a starring role for the Canes.
Despite the commentators overhyping him RTS had a decent game that last miss aside. Pretty good for his first game of rugby in 10 years. Him and Hungus Ioane could be a lethal midfield going forward. Hopefully the Canes back Rayasi and give him starts even if it means leaving Fatty Savea sitting on the sidelines.
Goodhue was decent but it helps when you're opposing one lock in the opposition lineout. Choat looked better than Gibson, who it appears managed to not get injured.
Was it knock who just passed the ball straight to a Canes player? WTF was he thinking?
Enjoyable game even if the result didn't go the way I was hoping.

@nepia was’nt just Goodhues lineout work ,his general play was superb in fact you could argue his best in a Blues Jersey and continuation of his form in the NPC ..Josh has always had talent ,but injuries have curtailed his progress .
Brayden Iose when he came on was absolutely superb , i posted last week the Canes would have a more balanced back 3 with Iose at 8,Flanders at 6 and Ardie at 7 ..
I thought Ruben Love played a little deeper and got his outsides into space nicely .. -

Does anyone know why Robinson went off (for Segner)? Hopefully not injury related.
He looked injured a couple of times during the game.Maybe he just emptied his tank.
-
@kiwimurph he strikes me as a guy with all the talent, but slmost like he is there for the social aspect and doesn't put in the work...
That guy in your team, late to training, first to the bar, always messing about

For Me Josh Goodhue's performance was the standout by a lock in the first 2 rds.Very impressive.
He won the Blues player fo the match fan vote. As an aside, I've had to unfollow that, they just spam out dozens of posts.

What do you mean? How do you know how he trains? Comments like this are unfair to the players.

So Stan Sport being fluffybunnies.
I don't want to watch the highlights, I want to watch the fucking game.
fluffybunnies.

@kev maybe, I know for a fact he used to work fucking hard on his game, as a teen, but from what I hear, I'm not sure that is the case in recent years.
I rate his game when on, IMO his pass is the closest to Smith, has a great box kick (even if I hate them) but there is def something missing, and this is usually between the ears.
The 2nd part of what I said wasn't saying that was what he does, just we have all had club mates with all the talent but just don't quite get there
-
So fuck you multiple times Stan Sport.

My view of the weaknesses in his game are being decisive at ruck time, physicality, not that challenging D enough. But my opinion is he has worked on all of those things and has improved. Those are things I see on the rugby field - I don’t know him.
But you have just said he doesn’t train very well and he his thick - I think those comments are personal. Do you know him?

Brutal way to lose. It reminded me of when the Canes beat us at the death in 2012 at Eden Park. We were also up by 6 points with a minute or so left on the clock back then too. I think Beauden makes a break and then puts Conrad away for a try, and then Beauden steps up and converts.

I think this may be user error - the full game is there for me and 2 sets of highlights.
