@bayimports surely they played the 6N too so thats another 5 games
I was expecting that, but not according to world rugby.. (filter on France and 15s only and mens results)
-
@bayimports but...we know they played in the 6N so something is obviously wrong with that, just google gives more believable results
-
@Kiwiwomble yep was looking for it, appears website playing up.. changed website and there it is..I was beginning to think it didnt happen lol even though I watch some games..
thanks for finding it i was going mad

From just a quick look the French have only played 6 matches this year 2 against Italy and 2 against Japan.. yeah great graph
Two against Italy ????
So far this year, France have played the 6N (5 games), 2 games in June against Japan, 1 against Australia and 1 against South Africa. -

Southern Hemsiphere teams and Northern Hemisphere refs aren't a happy combo.
Interesting analysis
you dont think its fair? the NH and SH definitely seem to interpret the rules differently
Get NH refs for Super rugby and things would come right pretty quickly.
And NH TEAMS might see an upturn.

Without the breakdown of whether a NH or SH was reffing a particular match it's impossible to determine that

Now that the tour is over, here are a few lessons learned :
De Groot and Lomax are certainties. They are the best props in NZ by a country mile.
Dalton P is clearly the best openside. Will Cane return as captain ?
Retallick and SW are still faring very well. Their first half against England was sublime. Let's hope one additional year will not be to heavy to bear.
If Jordie stays in midfield, then Foster will have to look for a fullback : Jordan ? Love ? Stevenson ? Sullivan ? BB has lost his pace and his confidence.
The defence still needs a lot of work while the attack relies too much on individual feats. Cross kicks look like the answer to the rush defence but their systematic use is a worry as variations are asking more questions to the opponents. -
@cgrant I'd add that Laulala is a waste of space in the squad unless there's injuries. I really don't understand the point of him. Supposedly a good scrummager, but I don't expect a good scrummager to give away more penalties than a lesser scrummager.
We are also in dire need of proven coaches in:
Defence
Skills
Field kicking -
All the AB props missed some key tackles today. I would hope that this was Laulala's last chance to prove he is good enough at this level. That was answered in the negative.
de Groot still needs to work on his fitness as he is very slow off the ground, but he is a keeper. Time to get rid of the old guard.

I didn't follow the thread or get to see the game but the comments don't seem too angry or upset? So was it good in retrospect to evaluate pros and cons of the current team?
But the way England came back seems very AB-like.
Perhaps they were quite fit or the bench far superior (or the AB bench the converse?) -

Perhaps they were quite fit or the bench far superior (or the AB bench the converse?)It has been a problem this last 2 seasons poor finishes to games in the last 20min.
Need to sort that come WC playoff time, does it point to the bench being wrongly selected at times I think so. -

Perhaps they were quite fit or the bench far superior (or the AB bench the converse?)I reckon you could characterize it as Chiefs-like. Those feckers are masters at it!
In the past decade I've watched a heap of games where one team has been comfortably dominating and then in the last 15 minutes the opposition has thrown caution to the wind, run from everywhere, and finished over the top.
The most egregious example was probably Auckland finishing over the top of Otago - scoring two tries in the last 2 minutes and extending some massive record of losing.
It's pretty disconcerting to see the ABs succumb to this, but I guess we've inflicted it a few times.
Somehow, you've GOT to force an error!!!

Unbeaten in the NH tour but ... A very poor performance against Japan, followed by a convincing win against Wales (but the Taffies are really weak these days), then by another poor display for most of the game against Scotland. I don’t know which qualitative note to attribute to the New Zealand performance of this weekend. Good to very good for the forwards, average to bad for the game management.

Anyone else reminded of the Blues first round loss to the Hurricanes this year? Played the game at very high speed, blitzed the opposition frequently on attack, dominant clean out and ball carrying, but ran out of gas and conceded about 20 points in the last 10 minutes. Also used subs late and all at once ...
Hope we are building to the kind of performances Schmidt got out of the Blues this year.

So we want to fix that bit about the last 10 minutes right?

@Tim I'd rather go with the kind of performance Robertson got out of the Crusaders in the SRP final.
Rely on key opposition players being injured and pray for rain?
