Can understand the players are finding this territory of public pressure uncomfortable, but some of the stuff coming out makes you scratch your head.
Ardies response to the loosies play
“I’m not too sure,” he responded. “Do you feel like we haven’t been dominating the last couple of games?
“I felt like the loosies have been fronting up, and we’re just trying to navigate the space of a new breed of players. -

@Victor-Meldrew given they were totally dominated last week, I think he is deluded.

Were they? For the whole match? Watch the first 45 minutes or so. We were regularly taking the ball forward and recycling.
Argentina were slowing down our recycle a bit illegally and getting away with it but you can't blame the loosies for that.It seems to me that a whole bunch of frustrated post match comments get cemented as fact and over-stated.
We aren't winning and it is frustrating and I totally get that patience ran out long ago but facts are flying out the window now.
At this level it is minor stuff that is killing us which then creates blowback pressure and we aren't dealing with that pressure well. There's no domination. If there was we must be doing outstandingly well in other aspects to stay in the game. -
@Crucial well I only watched the first 60, so maybe the final quarter we dominated them...Kremer had a field day, Matera was also very good.
You can argue about the illegality or whatever, but that is just another of the little battles they won, which is part of the domination thier loosies achieved.
if Ardie wants to believe that we dominated them, then we are going to continue to struggle

What is this 'field day' and 'domination' you speak of? If you are talking about a couple of highlight turnovers they happen all game, every game.
Were we losing the ball taking it into contact majority of the time? No.
Were we making ground? Yes.
Did we concede some turnovers? Yes (One was from very clever kicking and chasing as described earlier)Tackle rates were the same.
Biggest difference was the ruck count. We were running at them all the time and they were tackling. More rucks equals more perception that the opposition were stopping us which is correct.
Did we play smart. Absolutely not, but that had zero to do with the loosies or 'dominance' it was to do with continually running at the Argies which they were happy to soak up until the inevitable mistake or we chanced it and turned the ball over.
As I said, if you claim that our loosies were dominated at the breakdown then we must have been doing some amazing shit elsewhere to have the amount of possession we had and be close on the scoreboard.
There are claims being thrown about that just aren't supported by fact. What cracks me up even more is the amount of comment and criticism you are making then admit that you didn't even watch the whole game! And if anything we played really well (apart from not scoring enough) in the first 60. That lack of scoreboard result (some due to errors, some to decisions) is what did us in for the last 20 as we then played right into their hands and didn't use a kicking game or the close in runs and patterns that gained ground in the first half.
I'm happy to criticise the failures of the players and coaches but claims that aren't based in reality (loose forward dominance, flat backs etc) are just dumb sound bites and don't identify the real reasons we are losing.

@Crucial I commented on what I saw in 60 minutes and previously, but you keep sipping the coolade captain contrary.
I saw what I saw, you saw it different, all God if you agree with Savea that we dominated them, I disagree
I don't think I said that at all.
I was refuting your claim that we were dominated.

I watched the whole thing. You are completely correct.

Sounds like the players are reaching for excuses to explain away their poor form on the field and lack of any coherent game plan or leadership.

Not sure Shawshank Redemption is going to help much.

An ALB update, as he returned to training yesterday.
All going well, Lienert-Brown is targeting Waikato’s final regular season game against Bay of Plenty in Hamilton on October 2, though also threw out the possibility of an appearance for Thames Valley or King Country in the Heartland Championship.
He has also been part of the Waikato coaching staff, not just running the water.

10 Japan 77.74A 1.42 point shift is huge in the scheme of these rankings. I guess that in a period of volatility these shifts can happen depending on circumstance and timing.
See how we only got a 0.62 point shift for thrashing a team that beat us the week before yet SA get a big lift in points (and Oz a big drop) for a standard tit for tat win.
