@Frank I think Christie has made huge strides this year, has been a massive part of the good in the Blues, I reckon the AB coaches will have noticed this too, he wont be discarded.
For my mind, the Irish will see Smith, Christie and Weber, TJ for the Maori.
While Fakatava may have the highest ceiling, we know the AB coaches arent quick to bin people, Smith is Smith, Christie aside from some headless stuff last night, has been very good this year, Weber looked good for the Chiefs...will Foster & Co drop one of them to make room for Fakatava? I have my doubts.

They are fuckin mugs if they don't pick him.
He has clearly got a far higher ceiling than the others. -
@taniwharugby the three you've picked are all pretty similar players, so I think they'll definitely go with Fakatava for variation (and he's fucking good), meaning one of Weber or Christie's heads will be on the block.
-
While I agree with you @taniwharugby, Weber is old an wildy inconsistent, I'd be pretty fucked off if we chose him as our 3rd halfback in a home test series.
-
@No-Quarter That was a really bad miss by JB on Simone for his try.
But as I've said, I would like to see him used at 12 in one of the Irish tests. We won't know unless he is given an opportunity in that position.

Reece was unreal on Friday and now I'm all in on him playing and being given a license.
Is there a way we can fit all of Reece, Jordan, Jordie and Clarke in the 23?
Yes

2nd Five summary.
We have the following options :- Jack Goodhue : he was the incumbent before his injury. He has lost the necessary pace for a centre so 12 should be right place for him.
- Quinn Tupaea : he's playing better and better. He will be in the squad but not on the bench if he is not the starter.
- David Havili : will Foster stick with him ?
- Jordie Barrett : was immense against the Brumbies and showed that he is up to it. His boot could help his brother too.
- RTS : shows a lot of promise and his combination with RI is working nicely.
- Julian Savea : he said he wished to play there with the ABs.
- TUJ : the big munter the ABs need in midfield however he is too injury prone.
- PUJ : not enough game time because of Holland's policy.

The argument for RTS would be the cohesion argument of 10 Beaudy 12 RTS 13 Rieko
Isn't that the same argument for 10 Mo'unga, 12 Havili & 13 Goodhue/Ennor?
The problem there is Havili has been underwhelming in 2022, Goodhue speedwise looks better suited to 12 and Ennor should be nowhere near a black jersey
I'm not arguing for a 10 Mo'unga, 12 Havili & 13 Goodhue/Ennor line-up, but arguing I don't find cohesion as a viable argument to include RTS as the preferred option at 12.

Who looks like the wise old head out of RTS and Tupaea?
Goodhue.
Frizzel and Taylor agree.

Reece has gotten better this season. He’s cut down his error rate without it affecting his instinctual play. People point to Jordan’s play and it has taken a step up also, but I think Reece has been our best back.
There is a way to fit all of them into a starting XV 😉

Goodhue.
Goodhue wins on experience, but he looks slower than before.
Does he have an excellent long pass or kicking game?
Is he really strong busting tackles?
Does he have major upside or a provincial combination with the likely center?
Looks to be a classic safe white boy selection to me. -

Halves are easy imo.
9: smith, fakatava, Christie
10: Barrett, Mounga, perofetaWeber will be there before Christie.

Seems like Daltons injury is appendicitis. Any body know how long it take to recover from that?
Google says 2 to 3 weeks.
That would really be pushing things for top rugby.

@MN5 that time is probably for the average Joe to get back to work. But we are dealing with an elite athlete who will heal quicker with higher pain tolerances and no chance of a wound dehiscing so he might be good 2 to 3. It’s not like his testicle is hanging out. He’ll have some abdominal swelling but with running, massage and ice/heat that should be good. He probably is already on a stationary bike.
