It should be unthinkable, but it's a distinct possibility now that Ireland could beat us at Eden Park.

Eden Park, a fortress since 1994.

If that happens the entire panel of clowns that coach NZ need to go.

I'm not pinning this all on them. Our pathways are fucked all of a sudden. Hermit kingdom NZ has definitely set us back.

Our forwards are fucked. The old guys are cooked. The next level (hi Ofa) who should be stepping up are dumb as shit. Oh and not very good.

    No big munters. Anywhere.
Guys who we know are not capable at the next level are locked in at Super level.
Super coaches appear to he fucking terrible at development, all of them, even the surfy messiah.

But hey, we'll beat Australia, all good, everyone gets an extension.

So, when was the last time Retallick had a decent game for the All Blacks?

It wasn't last year, and it sure as hell wasn't in 2019.

Four fucking years ago he had a good game. Better spend all the money on his contract.

There has never been a player who has had an easier ride. And has produced nothing.

Taukei'aho is actually looking really fucking good, and accurate when he has jumpers to throw to. His post contact metres today were fucking awesome.

Apart from that though, I think your point stands.

Retallick = Garbage, and I hope to fuck that the coaches have some kind of recency bias that lets them think beyond 2015.

Watching the 6 Nations, the gulf in class and bulk in the big units in French, Irish and English test teams and the ABs is absolutely terrifying.

@tim I agree he has looked poor since his injury, and well off the pace since his return to NZ

That said I'm not sure PT was the answer, alot of his issues seemed to exist with him, not any coaches as he simply wasn't able to use his physical attributes to impose himself as you'd expect/hope.

Our player development in the past 4 or 5 years has been shit, we went from having pretty much the team of the century in 2015 and have really let things slide since, desperately trying to hold onto players when they are past it or run into the ground after super.

I could count the good games PT had for the ABs on one hand and be missing a few fingers. If Tuipulotu is the answer, I'd hate to know what the question is!

I see a bunch of young forwards out there willing to throw their bodies around and fight for metres. We just need to be accepting that swapping experience for youth is going to come with some “learnings” at the next level.
We need to do some culling in the tight five quickly and get it over and done with.
If it wasn’t for some injuries Samisoni wouldn’t have even been at an AB camp last year. Now he’s streets ahead as our best option.
Let’s get some big damaging props going instead of old boys that may know scrum tricks but fall over when they try and run.
The selectors have at least tried with the locks. Lord looked good last night but there are others as well.
MSR had some go forward abrasiveness for the Landers as an example.

Based off what? It's Razor's job to win SR titles at all costs, how it gets there is irrelevant to him.

And Tony Brown is doing a comparatively poor job with his player development & team selection at the Highlanders - so why didn't you give him an honorable mention?

It might be irrelevant to him but he's certainly not churning out players that are suited for test rugby.

Or perhaps Foster was not utilizing those players properly at international level as Razor implied...

    It always does.
But even so, suggesting that the national coach should come up with plans that suit the way a next level down coach has prepared the players is a bit arse about face.

@crucial Or a super coach that needs to prepare players for test rugby. Bottom line is that Razor is doing his job well, Foster is having issues.

Retallick got outplayed by Blues journeyman Josh Goodhue, who is having his best season, but it's so obvious that he is done for at test level.

It's completely unheard of that a player could take two years out of NZ rugby then expect to come straight back into the ABs. It was absolute bullshit that they allowed that. Retallick was awful last year.

Whitelock is one hundred years old.

Foster and his gang of retards could use Tuipoluto up the middle, rather than out wide, but they are so stupid.

Hope Tupou Vaai develops very fast, because we are out of options.

Problem being anyone who shows out in SR and it not already an AB are they up to AB standard.
Picking players every year is not the answer,How good is our SR standard now ?,is it really at a high level compared to Test Rugby.
The problem I believe is the AB coaching staff can not deliver a game plan, strategies,or the right selections to deliver success.
