Fozzie has a 75% win percentage as head coach..
If you took out the tests against Tonga, Fiji, USA and Italy, It'd be a 62.5% win rate. So it's an inflated 75% win percentage as well.
That is ugly, but the same thing (lots of easy tests) could arguably be leveled against others, which is why I used the total.

Highlights of match
Coles super pissed off with French intercept try
Sami playing like a no nonsense AB forward
Rieko getting serious and giving it heapsDupont a great not even smiling at the end Prob thinking about the next French improvement. Awesome player
Feel proud how ABs came back but a bit sad. Could be 2 years of pain

They didn't give up. Lesser teams would.

Foster on Sky.
Intercept killed us. No. A shoddy first half did, and inability to think clearly,
Great occasion. Fuck the occasion!
is this a great advert for world rugby? "awesome to be part of it" Good on you Foster, but we need you to coach, not be a "part of it"
Ran out of energy at the end. Horseshit, you picked fresh guys that didn't play last week, you subbed. No excuse for that.
Always knew they'd play fast. Then counter it FFS
Disappointed that lineout drives hurt us. Then get better at defending this
Loved how we came back in third 1/4 - couldn't keep it going. Four quarter game Fozzie, Four quarter game.
"Can you change things around?" I'd love that, last two games big learning curve. What about the last five years? the SA game 2020, Argentina, Ireland. You're not learning shit. You remind me of my Year 13 students doing the same stupid stuff they did in Year 11. If they're not gunna learn, they're not gunna learn.Stop using the tour as an excuse. The Black Caps don't. Breakers didn't. Warriors didn't.
Jeff Wilson "AB's not on top of their game clearly"

Basically we can beat Australia. Against any other Tier 1 we are now 50%.
I think a full strength Australia side is a good bit better than when we played them.

Wales? Surely, 60+%?

How much do we pay Jeff Wilson for his incisive observations?
-
Is Graham Henry available?
He's literally the one guy I think could turn this around by RWC'23.I just want Razor to have a clean slate post that-France.

Thanks to @Duluth and @Kirwan (I guess) I can answer my own question but could we add an average at some stage?
Last five years = 76% win percentage
15 years before that = 86% win percentage
Fozzie has a 75% win percentage as head coach..
NB
That didn't include today's result.
Away during the last two years, we are 5/8 including losses to Oz, Ireland, and France. That's inflated by the fact we didn't play SA, but rather USA and Italy (and Wales is the other nation).

I'm conscious that France played a few games in the last few years where they've looked ace for the first half and imploded in the second
Well... Yeah..
Sublime from the French. Ntamack made RM look like a nobody.
They did go off the boil. But then so did we.
Edit: bringing DH on to pass to the French when we had momentum was a masterstroke from the coaches, for example.Words fail me.

Technical advisor like the 2003 Blues?

If it's anything other than a couple cups of coffee it's too much.

Do you think NZ would win most of their tests at home? What we're seeing is NZ losing away matches. Losing away is quite common for most other teams, especially in front of large, vocal support.
Honestly, winning 85%+ over last 16/17 years has skewed things. Winning away used to be a great feat. Maybe you'll begin to treasure them again😉

If the answer is bringing in a 76 year old retired coach, the issues are worse that I thought.

There are several who would be an improvement.
Anyone even. Perhaps an actual coach would be a good idea?
(I feel more bitter today than Mike Hosking with a shave and a haircut). -

With fresher ideas. That is the real killer.

That's age-ist. Just because the man is 76 doesn't mean a thing. He retired from the AB's at the right time.
But he's also got the experience to cut to the core of any issues, provide clarity over 12 months, and give us a shot.
