Good idea. I'll add that in the next day or two

I love how we can see the teamsheets at any time, and from old AB games. Stat geeks like me love that we can see that stuff here as my memory is terrible at the best of times. Thanks for all these improvements.

As with the first test against SA, its the 3rd quarter when we use our big carriers up the middle that we look good.

That 20mins was the main positive

It showed the tactics we need to use next year. We have forwards that can get a roll on around the fringes. It's about using them correctly
Taukei’aho, Akira, Savea etc were excellent during that period. They got us back into the game.

We were looking good to take the match but then Ntamack did his business from the in goal and that was that.

    True

Trying to be as hopeful as possible - maybe that 20mins is similar to the 1994 Bledisloe match. A shit AB coach stumbles on the correct tactics for the current players

Discipline when they have momentum with them is really fragile which makes me wonder if there's a team mentality issue.

Wonder? I think it's pretty certain.

    The issue is why.

Fozzie has a 75% win percentage as head coach..

If you took out the tests against Tonga, Fiji, USA and Italy, It'd be a 62.5% win rate. So it's an inflated 75% win percentage as well.

    That's brave of you!

One nice thing about the review would be if they highlight the sliding doors part of that. If Mo'unga and Jordie make a 1% improvement in their chase there, that change probably doesn't happen.

Basically we can beat Australia. Against any other Tier 1 we are now 50%.

I still think our players are good enough, I don't believe all of them have dropped thier bundle that quick.

But we are not getting the best out of them, we are playing people out of position, playing people before they are ready to come back.

Anyone who's played rugby knows there is no substitute for game fitness, and yet we roll these guys in expecting miracles.

This all sits with the coaching team.

That is ugly, but the same thing (lots of easy tests) could arguably be leveled against others, which is why I used the total.

    Highlights of match

Coles super pissed off with French intercept try
Sami playing like a no nonsense AB forward
Rieko getting serious and giving it heaps

Dupont a great not even smiling at the end Prob thinking about the next French improvement. Awesome player

Feel proud how ABs came back but a bit sad. Could be 2 years of pain

They didn't give up. Lesser teams would.

    Foster on Sky.

Intercept killed us. No. A shoddy first half did, and inability to think clearly,
    Great occasion. Fuck the occasion!
is this a great advert for world rugby? "awesome to be part of it" Good on you Foster, but we need you to coach, not be a "part of it"
Ran out of energy at the end. Horseshit, you picked fresh guys that didn't play last week, you subbed. No excuse for that.
Always knew they'd play fast. Then counter it FFS
Disappointed that lineout drives hurt us. Then get better at defending this
Loved how we came back in third 1/4 - couldn't keep it going. Four quarter game Fozzie, Four quarter game.
"Can you change things around?" I'd love that, last two games big learning curve. What about the last five years? the SA game 2020, Argentina, Ireland. You're not learning shit. You remind me of my Year 13 students doing the same stupid stuff they did in Year 11. If they're not gunna learn, they're not gunna learn.

Stop using the tour as an excuse. The Black Caps don't. Breakers didn't. Warriors didn't.

Jeff Wilson "AB's not on top of their game clearly"

I think a full strength Australia side is a good bit better than when we played them.

    Wales? Surely, 60+%?

    Is Graham Henry available?
He's literally the one guy I think could turn this around by RWC'23.

I just want Razor to have a clean slate post that-France.

Thanks to @Duluth and @Kirwan (I guess) I can answer my own question but could we add an average at some stage?

Last five years = 76% win percentage
    Screen Shot 2021-11-21 at 7.05.52.png

15 years before that = 86% win percentage
    Screen Shot 2021-11-21 at 7.06.47.png

Fozzie has a 75% win percentage as head coach..

    NB

    That didn't include today's result.

Away during the last two years, we are 5/8 including losses to Oz, Ireland, and France. That's inflated by the fact we didn't play SA, but rather USA and Italy (and Wales is the other nation).
