You guys found a keeper who can bat yet ?
Maybe....
Your ability to remember crap like this makes me wonder if you are Nicola The Aussie

Let's face it: the lack of subtlety from @MN5 makes it pretty easy to remember his attempts at shitposting.

Having reflected a bit overnight, I think last night was the worst possible result for the BCs. We already have a bit of a mental block against the Aussies, it's not a great matchup for us as they're strengths negate a lot of our strengths relative to the other teams (bowling and fielding mainly), and we're now without one of our top 3 batsmen - a guy who's a bit of tweener between Guptill's all or nothing hard hitting and Kane's more measured approach.
But the "out of nowhere" nature of Straya's victory last night, IMO, will give them much more confidence and belief than a complete demolition would have. Importantly, the weaker links in their team will now be full of confidence and belief, but the top order will also now feel they have a bit more freedom to play aggressively, knowing that the middle order guys have the minerals to see them home if necessary.
The same can obviously be said for us, but Dev was a big part of our rescue op on Wednesday and our tail is much longer than the Aussies'. Plus, they have more hitting power throughout their batting lineup. We have historically struggled with their pace and bounce, while their have struggled with our and others' swing at times. It might just come down to a battle of the spinners where maybe - just maybe - we have slight advantage. Ish seems like he could be a pivotal figure, whatever the outcome.
What does this all mean for Sunday? Probably nothing, but I'll probably be there watching and having been there also in 2015 clearly I'm on the descent of the pre-match emotional rollercoaster and so need to let off some steam

Is there an option to moderate @NTA posting if he starts dragging up irrelevant statements that are best left in the past?

I have to step up when @Virgil isnβt around

New Zealand have never beaten Australia in any knockout match. They have played each in 17 quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals, out of which Australia have won 16. The one that New Zealand won wasn't a knockout but the first of the best-of-five finals in 1981, a series that New Zealand eventually lost. Australia have won all the four knockout matches between them at ICC events.
Concerning. They don't fear us. They know they get the best of us when it matters. If we can topple them it will be a massive moment in our history.

Solid start. We're gonna need plenty though, looks a good pitch

Not a great power play but only one wicket down. Williamson looking bogged down though and already showing signs of frustration with that last shot.
I back Kane to read the pitch like he did in the CWC. If he is struggling and seems content to just hang in there then it's probably the right call.
I'm thankful we have a skipper willing to play the long game and who doesn't think the final needs to be won in the first three balls of his innings.

Yeah, looks like they're happy to keep wickets in hand and launch a bit later. We will want 160 at least though I would think.
