After last night who is everyone picking as our best XV to take on S.A?
This is the team I think Fozzie will select from what we’ve seen so far. I haven’t picked Leinert-Brown due to not being match fit and also uncertain of the status of his injury.
- Moody
- Taylor
- Laulaula
- Rettalick
- Barrett
- Ioane
- Papali’i
- Savea (c)
- Perenara
- Barrett
- Bridge
- Havili
- Ioane
- Reece
- Barrett
- Taukei'aho
- Bower
- Tu’ungafasi
- Vaa’i
- Jacobson
- Weber
- McKenzie
- Jordan
I think ALB will be in, Bridge out of the 23, Ioane on the wing - touch wood. I won't comment on the props, I have no idea!

For all the talk of how dangerous the bombs of south Africa are, they put up appropriately 230 over the past 2 weeks, the wallabies dealt with them appallingly, and won both games
I am not worried.
Keep the ball for various sets of 5+ phases and we'll score more than they are capable of with their current game plan

Hard to know exactly what South African team will front up ,
While the media are acting like the results against Australia are a shock , The reality is normality has resumed ,
They may have won the same amount of world cups as us , but outside that , have been a pretty hot and cold team in reality , I think they enjoy getting themselves up for a window like a World Cup but struggle maintaining consistency for extended periods
The decline in Super, the rise of NH, and being able to pick players from Northern hemisphere helped too... The players who came back looked like stars, where previously they'd been off the pace
And how has that worked for the Bokke?

There is one abject retard, I think he still posts here, who in 2019 posted about how glad he was that Rieko Ioane was dropped. We have some real morons, but that takes the cake for stupidity.
I don't think this was me, but on behalf of all abject retards around here, I think we ought to have leniency on dumb posts made after a suitable period of time.
After all, this is the Fern not a marriage!

23 JordanI think that's the 23 if ALB fit, with 19 the biggest uncertainty. My hunch, though, is that Moody will be in 1 and Karl in 17.
If ALB out I'd be inclined to go with Tuapea on bench and Jordan moving to 14.

Well, it got them a RWC, and the No 1 ranking for two years (tongue firmly in cheek).
Seriously, though, like Australia, it filled some holes when needed. Some of the players they grabbed (Kolbe, JOC, etc) were absolute stars.

@crucial you'd have Vaa'i?
Yep. Offers more energy and, although a test against the bokke may not be the traditional place to 'grow' a player, needs games against this type of physical opposition to develop.
Pat T isn't the future IMO. Has had loads of chances and just seems to go missing. -

Vaai seems like a great 'system fit' for how Fozzie wants his forwards to play the game.
Mobile, highly skillful, high workrate and improving at the dark arts.
In future, he might be able to cover 6 from the bench too. That would allow for a 7/8 (like Ardie) on the bench without having a starter cover 6

Didn’t get a chance to have breakfast with him or any of his teammates but he took up a lot of room when walking down the aisle of a plane.
